I'd like to see a planet with high level PD also get defense missiles or something to engage an enemy fleet. Maybe even ground based hangars. Right now it seems like orbital defenses are mostly useless, and even a fully teched/filled planet doesnt stand a chance against a small fleet. I dont think a Planet should be able to beat a large fleet 1v1, but if you invest that much into a planet, it should hold out for a time. Right now it doesnt.

I've seen someone else post that its definately better then non phased. I think their results showed like a 20-30% faster death after phased. What I mean, when I say "does it matter" is shields recharge every second. So if I use a laser that does 10 damage every second, and shields recharge 2points every second, only 8 damage will ever hit your hull. Of course, phasing is better because it does this constantly. It makes shield recharging powers less helpful, but not obso
Does that mean its legal for 6 people to play Sins in a LAN party with only 1 copy? If so, I think its great. Most of the time people will do this anyway, and I know a lot of people go out and buy the game later, since they want to play more online. This is especially true of less heard of games.
I personally like Homeworld's design choices on ships better too. I wouldnt mind seeing a few more differences in ships and types in Sins. Right now, with all ships being 1 role only, and all caps being the same cost, it seems like a good game could be so much better with a better balance team.
I'm curious about this too, but does it matter? Even if I killed shields 100%, then started on Hull, wont shield still recharge and block some damage? I know for a fact, if I retreat or win a battle where I had no shields and 1/2 hull, after 2 minutes, I'll have some shields and some hull repaired afterward. Its not like shields only regenerate if hull is 100%. Phase missiles seem good from experience. I dont think they are good enough to negate shields outrigh
I always thought there should be more ground battle influence. With the way games work now, its rarely that planets are anything more then money makers.
I wouldnt mind seeing flaks being less effective, if other ships had flak of their own. I wish capital shipshad AA guns also, and Flaks had some heavier weapons, so they would be more like AA destroyers. Of course, I like the WW2 battles, so recreating those in space isnt bad.
Is it better to spam 4-5 trade centers at 2 planets far away, or put 1-2 on every planet? I dont seem to notice a bonus because they are all connected only 1 jump away.
I've seen something like this too. I would tell my ships to move to another planet, and even though its a neighbor planet and they are connected and the fleet is near the jump point, they move across the map, and take the long way around. Basically I have my ships at Point A. I move them to Point B. My ships take the CD route instead of straight to B. Sometimes through the enemy, and their planets. A ------B \*****/ C--D
