Yep. It definitely uses asteroids for ammo. Got distracted by it when I was talking to someone and the kol fired it's rail gun. Awesome.

......Buncha blasphemers, the lot of you..... Glory to the god-emperor. :p
That's what I did. I just fitted everything together, pre-gluing.
An emperor class is easy enough. there was once an article on how to put together a retribution class, and it's essentially the same thing. Im not sure where to find it anymore since GW redid their website.
Alright, im on board. Selection!
Part of me says throw them all in. The other part says it'd be much more feasible to just put the ones that fit the roles in. Im torn.
Neither will yours. It's all purely speculative.
Sounds good. No luck on skinners though... And I think it actually falls under all three.
I would -love- an epic battle of...well..epic proportions. It'd be fun, take forever....and....well...be fun! And as for my reasoning for the large 'stable' of ships, is that As much as it'd be cost effective to have one, maybe two battleships and maybe a third of my list, im basically getting a variety and number of everything. I think the only ships to have only one copy in my fleet lists will be each of the four battleships, and one copy each of the endurance and defiant light cruise
Let me start with just a simple statement. I am not by any means a credited physicist, engineer, or any kind of "rocket scientist". Now, as far as this discussion is concerned, you're all a bunch of morons for even trying to predict, SERIOUSLY, what will happen in the future, because no matter how much knowledge you retain about today's CURRENT standard of technology, and POSSIBLE future development, you are not taking into consideration that there may be NEW discoveries, UNFOR
A fair list I should say. And actually, if all goes according to plan, I should be using a very sizable chunk of my fleet. something along the lines of between 2-3k on an opening battle sequence with two of my friends. One plays imperial and the other is playing orks. And seeing as we dont want to make anyone *cough* orks *cough* feel ganged up on, it'll be a three way fight. Take the battle of pelucidar in the armada handbook, and modify it by having two imperial factions du
Too much for not enough. I guess im lucky? But same here. Now, as far as this mod is concerned, how far along is it? I know you have most of the models for chaos down, plus ive seen a decent amount of imperial and tau. Still no skins? I wonder if I can scrounge up a friend or two who might be able to help.
Chang, that's just the thing. Once im finished collecting that armada, im fully intent on collecting more. And you're right. I will never have the opportunity to use that huge fleet all at once. But the same could be said for my space marine and imperial guard forces for 40k. I've always had the philosophy of go big or go home. Currently have over 500+ models for my imp-guard army, and 200+ models in my marine army. I guess one would say I have a problem and/or addiction. <br
Actually, I just recently started collecting BFG, so it's particularly hard to buy the voss pattern for the actual models. To substitute, I purchased the Admech light cruisers, which have a remarkably similar build, and am currently in the prcoess of remodeling them. And as for the escorts, dont you fret none. As it stands, I plan on topping out my collection with: 4 battleships 8 grand cruisers 12 battlecruisers 24 mixed reg and light cruisers and he
I will continue to be patient, in waiting for this awesome mod to be completed. I've been wanting a pc game version of BFG for so long, that my freakin teeth hurt. As for my own fleet, im sitting on: 1 x Retribution class battleship 1 x Mars class battlecruiser 1 x Overlord class battlecruiser 2 x Lunar class cruisers 2 x Gothic class cruisers 1 x Dominator class cruiser 1 x Dictator class cruiser 2 x Endeavour class light cruisers 1 x Endurance clas
keeping within the idea that this is a content patch, id like to see a hero unit and higher fleet cap. but thats just me. As far as the expansion is concerned, I'd love to see new ships, Especially a secondary combat cruiser. Plz? =D
.....Where to begin...... I suppose turn based is out of the question? lessee.... Siege and it's expansion, dogs of war. (for those of you who know mindcraft games) medieval total war I and II plus expansions Rome Total War with barbarian invasion civilization 2 through 4 civ city rome supreme commander sword of the stars and it's expansion reign of blood galciv2 hegemonia dawn of war, all. company of heroes genesis rising<b
I dont know about that. I have nvidia 8500gt with 512mb, updated the drivers upon getting this game, and this game is constantly crashing my video card. I have loads of fun playing this game, but woe betide me if i dont save often. Maybe I just need to fiddle with the video options in the game, but I just hate not getting the full effect of the game.
[quote] I've been playing a Huge map against 9 AIs on normal (yeah, I'll admit I'm not that good yet), and after I had taken about half of the first system, they would commonly send fleets with 3-5 caps at me, and use most of the hardware their faction has. However, they do seem to enjoy the basic frigates and seiges more than one would expect, but still, having 150 of them plus 5 capital ships warp in from 3 seperate empires each can make an...interesting bloodbath. <br/
See, this is where I kinda have to play devil's advocate with the dev's creation. They chose the fleet cap to keep it fair for the online play....but with realism in mind, they should have used the fleet size dictated by empire size. yeah, its unfair for multiplayer matches, but when you're dealing with between 4 and 10 computer opponents, it gets kinda tedious trying to jump your fleets, lets be optomistic and say you have 7 to 8 fleets (2 caps each) at the end of a long game, trying to guard a
I kinda have mixed feelings on the ship cap. I agree, that on larger maps, the ship cap should be a bit higher, but on the flip side of that, the AI will have just as much. So you'll run into the same problem, just with more ships and a better chance to lag your system. my two coppers.
I don't know.....I just got finished playing a particularly long game...something like 6-7 hours, three systems and 8 ai players set on ffa, all easy AI. They teched right up and at around 3rd hour, after the first couple were dead, they all posed a serious threat to me. I had a couple close calls where they'd have my fleet split across my empire, and then the one attacking would drop a larger fleet to support a probing fleet and seriously out-number/out-gun my hot-spot defense fleet. Ive even s
