Problem: Ive been using impulse for a while on my vista pre SP1 machine.... now all of sudden when i start it..it says ( in Lt Lower Corner) " UPDATING APPLICATION IMAGES: STARTING...." and freezes there...have the mouse showing wait icon..... ive tried unisnitalling and reinstalling.... nada ???? thanx

Hey all... WOndering if anyone has any suggestion on this.. Downloaded Impulse engine..update it... See that the patch is available in impulse..click on the UPDATE button...first time i did thison the left side ( where my games are listed..whcih means only Sins)...it said it was archiving it..and i walked away... Now today i see update still availbel..when i click on the UPDATE button.., the SINS icon.

Hey all.... Just wondering if im missing something here... When i try to connect to ICO and get a multiplayer game, i can do so..but.... It seems there are very few games available..usually no more than 4-5 games available max with maybe 1 player slot open... very few 4player or more games.... Is there some other way that people are connecting??? ie is everyone arranging games thru xfire? I want play so

OK...for me found solution... I tried the windows hotfix..already in place when this started so no joy.... I had the setting dialed back already from HIGHEST to HIGH..thats no help So then i used NTUNE and dialed back my 8800gtx memory speed from stock 900mhz to about 800mhz. WORKED! Able to play without any problem..and no stuttering video..ie still enuff power to more than run the game at 1920x1280 ...atlhtough anitaliasing is still off now that i

yeah...i loved starfire series...read thru all of them and the Honor Harrington series too.... but The Armageddon Inheritence et all ROCKED! Same Problem..sound continues..screen flickers back and forth...game frizen.then crashes to desktop..sometimes goes back to sins..or sometimes gives me BSOD Vista Home Premium 32b GF 8800gtx Forceware 169.25 Running 1920x1280 with everything maxed..now turned off antialiasing..will try to turn down other stuff.. even tried 1280x1024 to see if different resolution helped..nope. But Verybad, i think i get what earlier posts where saying that would suggest your not ENTIRELY correct. If we have completely identical fleets agianst comepletely identical enemy fleets..... You: focus all ur ships to fire on enemy ship#1 till dead, then enemy ship #2, then etc... you take out...say 2 ships in 60 secs. Can anyone explain what it means when I explore my planet and find something? I got told i found " Kalanite Deposits" on a planet just now. Who cares? Do i get money? Crystlal? Bonus to tax income? Manual doesnt mention other than saying i may find things.... Masterpug

Does anyone know of a place where the tech specs of ships & weapons are? ie is a laser better than a autocannon? is one better against figters and one against ships? Is one thing long range and one short? I list of the power/recycle/damage tables would help me choose what to use where in battle. So is there either some list out there on web/forum?
