[quote] I've got it. The final definitive answer which covers all the evidence. The Vasari are running from....THEMSELVES! (dun-duh-DUUUUN!) Here's how it would work. The Vasari Dark Fleet in the future comes back in time and begins destroying the Vasari empire and they can do it easiely because of more advanced technology. So this group that breaks off learns the truth sometime after the current events in Sins and decides the only way to avoid their fate...

Duh hurrr, it's the Seraphim, who else?
The problem is defenses kinda suck, so the Vasari have a weak SW there. The Novalith cannon is better UP than OP. Anyway, just target his most expensive planets, in about 8 days it'll become cost effective.
That's why you use lots of cruisers, and use lv6 super beam.
I think you got it messed up. Vassari can have several defense fleets, just not as many as the other two factions. If they could only have 100-125 ships they would probably be massively UP, given that many people have nearly 100 frigates/cruisers alone >_> So they would take into account that that attack force was smaller, and send a small fleet of, I dunno, a cap ship and a ton of frigates, while the bigger force goes for the other attack. Take into account that 3 even forces of 200 un
So early up would a Capitol Cruiser or Tank be better?
Oh, well in that case it's still slightly balanced by the fact that while they have to use less units, they still have to break up into 2-3 fleets on huge maps, and since their armies are smaller this means that an organized attack can send you reeling. Also, the other factions will just grab 15-20 planets probably, and then try to take yours out.
But think about it this way. It was a 3 way, the third player died. Now it's you and him. You're Vasari and he's Advent. You have the ship advantage but he has combos. Therefor you might want to duke it out. You're using your tricks and he's using his. The issue is he has more combo ships than you have your ships, his air is better ect. You have to focus on Phase Missiles, shield disruptor thingies and phasing them out. Both of you are about equal. But he has more units to spare. He bring 10 Cap
1 in 100 chance, really.
But in a final confrontation they have the advantage, seeing as they don't have a game-ending game-ender, they have to fight, and when they do their army has to be the strongest, because it will be the smallest.
So if there are few worlds and you want to clear out your opponents expansion, going for the Tank Capitol ship is the way to go, or the planet killing one. If there are several planets around the place, regardless of being Vasari or Advent (both are rather specialized in their need for resources) you're going to go for the colony ship, and if you really are going for something interesting, go for the cruiser. The way I see it the epic-assist one is more for later game/middle game. Am I right? Al
So what are the different Cap ships- What do they do?
Seriously. Why don't you have a fleet at each planet, and when you're ready to launch a major assault you just gate them all together? I can't believe the claims that you can't kill 35 Siege frigates before they kill your planet. What happened to your army? It seems pretty dumb to have it into 3 huge parts, but no smaller sub-sections if only to distract the Frigates. Even in Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance it was suicide to bring all your units to defend one part. Defenses often wer
That would be a weird bug to overlook. How could they not have noticed it?
Sounds awesome, I have it on a must-buy list. Problem is... nevermind, Ill get it in a month or two.
There's one on Advent, so I figured this would be pretty good for new players, and for players to hand out their strats. Also, so people don't get confused, put the factions name on top of your post :)
Could someone list out what TEC, Advent, and Vasari can each do? Newer players/players who are looking for info before buying probably have only the slightest clue what faction the names belong to. (I fall under the second catagory)
[quote] What ARE the combos? Also, Vasari sounds fun Do Vasari have the STRONGEST ships or does that belong to TEC or Advent? Does TEC's fleet fail in an even fight? (say, a battleship vs a battleship, or a frigate vs a frigate) Advent Abi
Thanks. But wouldn't other players want those planets? By the way you're saying them they must be resource rich.
What tips would you give to a beginning Vasari player?
Oh, cool :)
Isn't that kind of imba if the player can't do anything about it?
The Vasira jump-gates allow you to get unit over faster, or am I wrong? If this is such a problem switch faction for a bit and see if it helps.
