People compare Homeworld and SoaSE a lot because they are in fact extremely similar. I think SoaSE is more Homeworld then Galatic Civ II tbh. However I cannot say that I really liked Homeworld 2, and many big Homeworld fans didn't either. The interface is terrible IMO, the subsystems was a nice idea but was badly implemented, and there was little macro involved.

The reason I agree that Sins should have had a campaign is due to the deep backstory. Oh sure, a full campaign isn't necessary, but they could have at least done something with the setup... I mean will we ever know if the TEC survive? Will the Advent get their revenge? What will happen when the Vasari's ancient enemy reaches them.

If you can do it that would be amazing... however as Catacylsm isn't really considered cannon as you mentioned, I don' think you should include them (also Kiith Somtaaw is not a race... Kiith's are different factions... like different tribes of the Hiigarans ... and I think the Kadesh are Hiigarans left behind during the exodus to Karak). Who are the T-mat though?
