the problems you reported generaly speaknig are not major issues in most cases. stuf like that Partical FX crashing the game would be but other things like strings and ability errors is nothing major. and once V 1.15 of mas sientist comes out it should work without a problem.

also you cant play single player with it, the AI cant use this mod due to them being required to build frigates.

you cant modify this. as far as ship pictures go, its generaly by either roll, or the order in which they are listed in the Player(race).entity file. other icons are generaly speaking , not movable. unless you mean like ship icons which would be located in the Texture (for the actual graphics) and window (for the locations on each icon pallet).

how do you determine how big a research block is, i know thers 4 numbers that determing this, just dont know what exactly each value does. also, what determines where it is on the tree? try to provide a demonstration if possible please.

mainly due to a new update. you will have to convert them from binary again. and for thoes that dont know, download a ConvertData GUI (thers two going around). instructions on how they work should be found with the tool.

ya, you can do that, just it wont level at all, and its abilities will have to be static (only 1 level) and will either need to be researched or the ship will be able to use them as soon as it is built.

i said it was a teaser, i didnt set the install up correctly for a mod or whatnot. 3 files go in the "Window" folder and the other 4 .tga/.dds go in the texture folder. On another note. does that file on the other forum contain seperate images? or are they essentialy like the list he provided as a sample

well as far as UI mods go, only one out there, and that basicaly was for the verry first release of sins and it striped the standard UI down, dont know if its still out there. was not that great IMO. the other things, someone elce will ahve to answer, but chances are id say is that their not going to happen.

well here are 9 of the portrates i liked best, they are all working properly in game and out of game. Here hope it helps some. it took a painstaking long time to resize them all 4 times. later on ill do all of them like you requested, but for now i did the ones i liked best. ill put a tutorial up later for you on how i did it as well, in case you want to add more yourself. nah, you got to realise that this game is verry picky. you can get errors for leaving out a small thing. and with the newer versions the files are changed alot so things tend to get broken untill the mod is updated. chances are its the version due to not many, if any mods being updated to 1.15 yet. EDIT: if i get some free time later today ill see what i can do about converting a mod to work with the latest version of sins original for you, but i might take a day or two

still looks sweet. even if you dont. notsure about smaller ships, but i know the cap ship i made makes good use of it, looks cool too. although there will be problems that arise for cap ships such as the size of them and weapon placing and speed.

man, this looks SWEET, although a cap ship moving like a fighter looks a bit odd and you need to have weapons in all directions since most of the time your cap ship will be facing away from your enemy (make sure you got good rear guns :p) as for frigates, this is the best thing that ever happened to them.

you cant build capital ships with a ability, to my knowledge, unless its new with entrenchment.
