Hello all. I'm playing Sins pretty much for the first time. A 3v3 with two hard random AI allies vs 3 hard random AI's. I dont want to use cheesy tactics, but I built a starbase with all armor/weapon upgrades and the AI lost a decent sized fleet trying to attack it (I think a level 5 cap ship too). My question is, are building these considered to be an exploit or is the AI capable of surprising me and taking it out? I'm playing Diplomacy with latest patch by the way.

Hello all. I'm pretty new at the game and was wondering what you guys recommend as far as setting up the best single player game. I'm trying to setup a 3v3, myself and 2 random AI hard allies vs 3 random hard. 1)I would rather keep my team intact, so enabling a three allied victory is correct? 2)Also, with pirates enabled it seems the enemy AI only bids against me, forcing me to really spend alot of $ outbidding them. I usually do, and this seems to really hamper the AI's prog

thx Haree. I see the addition of starbases is a big thing. I take it they are some kind of defensive structure, but how do I build them? I don't see them when I click defensive structures.
