Why when I host a game do I get the message saying most people can't join it? I disabled my router just to host a game so I have nothing blocking it at the moment, I don't get it.
I'd like to see a nerf to dark armada and a buff to Vasari beg/mid game, they are my favorite race.
The most important 4x feature is tons and tons of units, buildings, improvments, techs etc, ALOT. Sins isn't very 4x in this area.
Depends on how good the mods that are released are.

Sorry man you need to hop online and play against other human opponents. Until they fix the AI and add an insane mode there is little point to playing vs the computer right now. You can just go for his planet like other posters said I guess but why waste your time in a game the other person has no chance of winning? Online is where its at.
You would have to scout every single planet before you jumped in, not saying this is bad or good but jumping into a planet, then having a massive fleet arrive and you have no way to leave just ruins the strategy of a RTS game. You need options available to so you can make choices that have meaning. The more choices in the game the better. You can span it across your moniters with no problem if they are running at the same settings. It doesn't really make the game any better, using the other moniter to browse is much better I feel. if this game supported dual moniters like supreme commander it would probably be the best game ever made IMO :)
Sins with EVE graphics would be absolutely terrible. The game lags enough as it is in large battles in 4v4, no need to make this game something its not. It's awesome in its own right.
I want a dedicated server as well I play with 8 of my friends and the multi lag is HORRIBLE, after a while no matter whose quad core pc is hosting the game just stops responding and will crash randomly and we have to reload from the last autosave. This option would be great.
I always want the pirates to attack me as they feed my caps and give me levels, they aren't a serious threat unless you are pretty bad at the game.
The AI is retarded, they make stupid demands of you to do certain "missions" for them and if you don't they hate you 15% more and other dumb stuff. Sorry I'm not going to go bomb a planet for your retarded self, I mean come on some of the things they request are lame. The game does fail at being 4x enough for me, but overall it does other things ok that make up for the lack of options.
Add my vote to adding a VERY FAST game option. This game is not very complicated for a 4x game and the option needs to be available for people who have it mastered and want a faster paced game play. If you like playing on slow and watching your fleet travel around while doing nothing, but enjoying the scenery thats great! But please add "VERY FAST" for the rest of us.
