Don't really see why supercaps would not fit the diplomacy theme. You could make it so they can be only be built as a joint venture between 2 allied races, a bit like the gtva Colossus from freespace 2 if anyone remembers that game. So the looks and stats/abilities of the ship would depend on which 2 races work together to build it. And saying it would be unbalanced is pretty silly, given enough thought a

Too bad... Let's hope it will be in the complete mod tools when they release it. I was thinking of the star trek armada system as well. @ Bink i think you misunderstood what i'm trying to change. I want the planet civilian infrastructure upgrades (as they are called ingame) to add fleet cap. Its one of the planet upgrades, like the tactical/logistic slot upgrades. from the planet entity files : planetUpgradeDef path:Population
bump Basicly i'm trying change the fleetcap to make it work better on large maps. I already changed the logistics research tree so it gives a percentage increase to the total fleetcap instead of a fixed amount. Now if it would be possible to get each civilian infrastructure upgrade on planets to add 40-50 fleetcapacity as well as their current bonuses... Any ideas?
Hmm, odd, are you sure you are looking in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data and not in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data ? I couldnt find it first either because i was looking in the wrong application data folder. If its not that, i cant help you :/ EDIT doh, you beat me to it :p
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of aSolar Empire\Mods Its in that map, for vista anyway the "appdata" map is hidden by default, so you need to turn on show hidden files to see it
I've been looking for a way to modify the planet upgrade system, the civilian upgrade path to be precise. I want to change it so that each stage you buy gives you a small amount of extra maximum shipslots. I havent been sucessful sofar... i'm farely new to modding. Does anyone with some experience have an idea on how to accomplish this, if it is even possible? Thanks
"A kryo noted, this shouldn't be possible - Returning Armada should only summon ships when you have positive capacity, so it should only be able to go one ship's worth of negative (for example, your remaining capacity is 1, Returning Armada summons a ship with a capacity cost of 6, the ship arrives, your capacity becomes -5 and new ships stop arriving). Do you have a replay of the game you could post?" I've had this happen as well, i think it only happens when you have alo
