nope negative on the missing entity files, its just a drag and drop and replace, I always have to revert back to the original file in order for the dump errors to stop.

Ok finally got everything figured out hehe, thanks for those that helped me. Now my next question is I noticed when I change the hp and shield values only and try to use the changed file it crashes the game into a dump error. Do I need version 1.2 in order to use the changed gameinfo files. for some reason I cannot play with changed hp and shield values on any ship with version 1.0 edit now that i think about it, if I change the hull hp or shield hp on anything the game cra

cool so i got it to work at work but I cannot get it to change to binary at home. Do the same thing but it just hangs there, like it is eternally thinking. Not sure if my cmd is working or what. Same process just will not process if ya know what I mean. Is there a service or such that I might have shut off?? Or is my reg messed up. Thanks

no lol, I have them all in the same folder, just a folder on my destop. C:\Documents and Settings\******\Desktop\sins\ConvertData> thats dest folder, and this is what i did. C:\Documents and Settings\******\Desktop\sins\ConvertData>convertdata.exe AbilityAntiMatterDetonate.entity AbilityAntiMatterDetonate.entity and thats about all I get, tells me the: invalid # arguement thanks

ok I got there, this is what I have put in: convertdata.exe AbilityAntiMatterDetonate.entity AbilityAntiMatterDetonate.entity this is what it says. invalid # arguements AARRRGGG!!!! is that wrong??? and as well do the files I need to convert need to be in the same folder or? Thanks for the help

oy!!!! i am so lost, do you think you could help me out here. Mind if I send you the zip folder of what ive done and you could change them for me lol.. Still cant get it, do I need to use the convert.exe file that comes with the sin mod package?? and lets say I have this file: abilityhowto.entity what would I type to be exact. And as well do I go into my dos cmd in run.

For the life of me I just cannot figure out how to convert the text files into binary files, Ive spent about 2 days modding files to have a little fun and change gameplay a little but i cannot figure out how to convert them over to binary, even with the convertdata.exe... I am so missing something :(

Anyone else having a problem with stuck ships, played the huge and large maps, with decent sized fleets jumping into a pirate infested planet system my caps or even other ships get stuck, otherwise unable to move and just freeze and basically do not attack, only attacks that work or the ones the caps use if activated?? they also seem to have broken nav points, you point and click and it has the "move to" line without the arrow head??

same here and they tend to stack or have frozen sex with each other?? Only way I saw solving that was to skuttle them...not exactly my idea of helping me out when its a cap ship lol
