Actually, my name is n003lb, not noo3lb. Zeros, not "o"s. It's an aircraft registration number, like N172CA. My real passion is aviation.
I dont think its good to relate the fleet to anything. Planets/Stars/Economy. Because it will always create more disadvantages between smaller and bigger empires. When you are just able to buy more by your own choice, but have to pay an upkeep rate according to your oversupply, you can always choose if you want to go for it or not. And also smaller empires can therefore overproduce, when they have the economy behind it.
You know, I think there is a wa

Well, I don't have the experience in this game that a lot of you seem to have, since I haven't the time to play as much. I mainly play on huge maps, but I haven't had an empire as large as the ones your referring to. I do question how much beta testing went into this aspect of the game, since most players, in my experience on other stratagy games such as Civilizations, prefer to play quicker, smaller games. How many of the beta testers actually tried to test marathon games that last for sever

Sorry if this has been mentioned already, but I'd like to see something like a copy feature in the map builder on stars, so we could create one star system (including planets and contents), then simply copy that system to expand the universe. I'm trying to create a map that has something like 15 stars, and I want each one to be similar to each other. It seems awful time consuming to have to go into each one and create new planet groups, then create new contents for each of those groups, and se

I don't know for sure, since I'm new, but I believe pinned ships will only matter if you unpin the planets that the ships are orbiting. By default, all planets are pinned when you colonize them. If you select the planet on the tree and click the pin button, the planet will then dissappear from the tree unless it's selected in the main window. I think the same goes for ships, as well. I'm going to try plying with only a handful of my planets pinned, and fleets only. It seems like it

Ignore my post, I solved it. Anyone know why the devs included options to turn off icons in the game when the scenematic mode does that for us? I never even thouht to look for options like that. Turning them off basically makes the game unplayable, but looks better, which is exactly what the scenematic mode is for, so why include options as well? Oh well, don't answer that. It's OT here.

Are you deselecting the ships in question? I noticed that even under scenematic mode, if you have a ship selected, it's icon still remains on the screen. Click off of the ships and the icons should dissappear. They do for me, at least.

I assume you are playing the game far enough to actually meet your opponent, right? I've only had the game for a couple days now, and nearly all of the planets you meet will have natives that fly the same ships as you. Your actual opponent will take a while to encounter. Of course, I've only played as the TEC, so I assume the natives fly the same ship as the player. Maybe they are always in TEC ships. Anyway, of the three games I've played so far, not one has had the TEC as my archrival.

Hey, stupid question. I just installed this mod and it looks very appealing, but now my tactical info is missing. The gravity well disc is gone, as are the ship icons when I zoom out. With the scale of this game, I cannot see anything unless I'm zoomed way in. It's like it's stuck in scenematic mode now, and the scenematic mode button does not seem to do anything. Is this supposed to be part of the mod, or did something else happen to it for some reason? I didn't back up the SOASE
