I would be happy to try the other races. But I'd rather most of the bugs be sorted out first. Having been involved in the beta for Sins, then entrenchment, then diplomacy and now rebellion, I'm happy with the way they work and trust they will get something out worth testing. If the TEC are locked out when we test the Advent, I'd be happy with that, and the same with Vasari. Afterall its not a published game yet and I get to tinker with

Anyone can make a map with Galaxy Forge and beef up the pirates with enough capital ships to make them happy. I was able to give them one of each ship from each of the races having 15 cap ships in their pirate base as a test. Now as I had the pirates on the other side of a wormhole cluster with link to all player starting locations I was disappointed to find that pirates can't (or won't) use wormholes even when provided the artefact that allows wormhole travel. <p
You could always have it as select ships at Pirate base with an option to take control (to all selected) and add them to your fleet that way at your choice. the pirates then make more....
I thought most of the difference between rebel and loyalist were too high in the research tree, Having talked about two star bases in the gravity well, I was surprised to find it as a 10th level research item. When you can build the titan at a level 4 research item this is a little late in the game. i.e. have to expand quickly and early to make use of the turtle feature they described later in the game. I would like to see the divergent technologies to be available ear
I found them okay for drawing fire, as the main purpose i used them for while the fleet was attacking targets. Besides that watching them all bounce off starbases as they rammed them made me think they were ramships and had no "ranged" weapons at all. Their flight paths need to be fixed so they don't ram their targets, unless they can do extra damage that way (possible boarding crew?) plus I used to to pad out the fleet supply...
I liked the new cap ship, I agree it is a little underpowered. In most battles it was in, it only ever converted 2 items in a gravity well in long drawn out battles, and was lucky to get one vessel in a short battle. It could do with some enhancements. Also if I lots a cap ship in a battle, it was always this one that died, so it feels a little fragile as well.
Hey Guys, Thanks for the mods, I've enjoyed trying them out with some online and LAN play with friends. I hope to see more of the good work your doing, and with some of it going into the next release, that is awesome. Just thought you could do with some thanks for your efforts. The most moding I've done for Sins is through installing mods and creating maps. Currently testing them with friends is fun and we are looking forward to Rebe
When you say spring is that spring northern hemisphere or southern hemisphere? Might be easier if you said 2nd or 3rd quarter or month ;) Coming from the southern hemisphere using seasons for release is quite annoying... As for the time slipping, as long as you tell us it is changing I don't mind.

They may do beta 1st December and release the game next year about March. Would make sense for a debug beta test turn around time. I know there were lots of debug versions coming out with all the other releases. And as I have just found a good group to SoSE with on a regular basis I am content to play this and wait till rebellion is ready to play.
