Or, you know, you could actually wait and see how the numbers changed, no?Hahaha awesome reply . Damn my bad, I ment to quote Craig Fraser on his "Here it comes" comment. Sorry for the double post (am unable to edit my old ones).
Or, you know, you could actually wait and see how the numbers changed, no?
Hahaha awesome reply :D. To the OP: Just have faith in the development team. All their balancing actions are geared towards making the game more enjoyable as a whole, not to piss of fans of a specific faction. Personally, I get no feeling of acomplishment if I win a fight using unbalanced game mechanics. The more balanced the game becomes, the more joy I get when winning. This too is comi
Ooh my God I can't wait for you to release that! Had my first play through with your mod and it really adds so much to the game. Not for one moment did I get the idea I was playing a user created mod. It blends in extreemly well with the content already found in the game. Can't wait to see more from you Hammersun!
I make this mod's major idea is to make the game more playable and funny. So, you can find moons and new ships i've made.(New to 3dsMax, If you feel the ship not pretty, don't blame me. )
I laughed hard when I read this along with the rest of your post Hammersun. Prior to seeing the screenshots I was expecting flying bricks for ships, but ooh my gosh the ships you made look absolutely stunning! Especially the Warhammer class capital ship, to me, it looks even better then
Wow that is amazing! Wonderful work Ron!
I've had several Beta invites into AoC, though I turned them down due to the 32.9gb, and the corresponding huge download that would wipe my internet download limits for a month and a half!Apparently rumor has it that AoC plays a bit like guild wars in that you can't run off and visit that beautiful scenery in the distance --> it is very linear and scripted apparently
Just out of curiousity (and a great interest in AoC), but do you still happen to have any of those beta i
Hahaha that was a very good laugh :). Thanks for that!
Said it before, will say it again; 100% agree! Well said OP!
A friend and I play this game over Ironclad online and actually have terrible stats. Though we win most games versus impossible AI's (I know, to some they are easy, more power to you if you think that) but it doesnt upload our wins. We have lots of games played, yet no wins or losses.
POST EDIT Sorry, missed what you wrote earlier (I blame the time):
I did download the game from Stardock Central and it still has the same error upon installation.
Guessing it's not a hardware related problem in that case so disregard the below. Previous post:
Hi Endbuster, Although it's far from an ideal fix, but what you could do is use your laptops DVD drive to install the game on your main computer u
Thanks for the advice everyone.
You could try an inquiry to LucasArts asking for permission to include their music in a mod. A lot of companies don't mind, it's worth a try.
Very good idea! I've send them an inquiry later this morning. Am hoping for some positive feedback on the matter :).
Star Wars is indeed licensed, and their music is licensed to the extent of the law... Don't release the music.
Hehe ok thanks :). Pity though, the music really adds a lot to the game (disregarding the fact that the original musical score is great too!).
Thanks for the replies guys. Part of the mod adds Star Wars music into the game and that's what I'd really like to share with the community right now. The rest of the mod includes many replacements for ship and weapon models but those are far from finished and in their current state do more harm then good to the game (e.g. still many mini-dumps which I'm ironing out). I'm hoping a community manager could reply to this before LucasArts force chokes the bejesus out of m
Hello everyone, Currently I have a small mod for SoaSE that I run for personal use. I'd really like to share the mod with the community, however it contains licensed material that is neither property of Stardock or Ironclad. Is it allowed to release a mod with licensed material here on the boards or must I strip it down a little first? Thanks in advance!
To the OP, I 100% agree (with both your statement about the game as well as your reason to make this post). Not only is the game a very welcome breath of fresh air in the RTS / 4X gerne, it's also a reminder of how polished pc games can be! For me it's one of the best games I have ever played.
Happened to a friend and myself too while we were in the game. This also resulted in a lot of memory dumps which we normally never have any problems with. As far as I can tell though, it has only happened once to us. Prior to when it happened, one of us moved the save files around after having to reinstall the game, so maybe that caused it? Very annoying bug though as it was a fun game we had going when we encountered it.
I was wondering if it is possible to change the weapon colour (like say, The Advent beam weapons) to the currently selected logo or team colour (like the trail exhaust on ships)? I can mod the texture files to make them appear like them, but not for each individual player / team. Any advice is more then welcome. Thanks in advance!
Hey and welcome to SoaSE, You can rename planets and astroids by clicking on the yellow arrow above the planets name card in the taskbar (lower half centre screen, when you have the planet selected). The same goes for your capital ships. Hope that helps.
Hey everyone, My apologies in advance if this is not the right place to make a suggestion (couldn't find a suggestion forum or thread), but is anyone else missing the ability to reset the camera to it's default position? I looked endlessly at the key configuration menu but couldn't find the option to map a key to that function. Ended up disabling the tactical grid as it sets off my OCD trying to allign the grid in the centre each time I rotate the camera :P. Another little piece of
Just wanted to express my thanks for making such an amazingly polished product. The gameplay brings alot of fresh idea's to an already conviluded gerne without being overly confusing. Everything in this game feels right and intuitive. Big tumbs up to the development team and publisher!
