As far as I know as long as your trad ships get there, regardless of whats in between, you'll be making profit. If the route has more tade ports then you make more money, but only having 2 trade ports at opposite sides of a system will give you cash. It means the cap. It isn't an instant bonus, but a it does raise over time. And its only for planets nearby.
I beleive superweapons are fine. however I do also beleive that each empire should be able to build something that limits the damage that a super weapon can do.
The problem with sheild mitigation is that without focus fire the effect is that the enemies sheilds have more time to recharge essentially meaning that it takes longer to kill an enemy ship firing one on one.
What we need is the Deathstar obviously!
Here's an interesting note about the ability to hit pone target and multiuple target. This is true in every single game ever made that has a person killing a target, be it strategy, fps, rpg, mmo. you are fighting 2 enemies. Their damage potential is 200 percent. If you do 50 percent damage4 to each of them their damage potential remains 200 percent. You do 100 percent damage to one their damage potential is now 100 percent. Now with only 2 enemies it isn't that important. How about when
Well so far (I have only played massive maps) I find that the best thing to do is start the game with allies. Keep teams unlocked, but group the people into teams at the beginning (I do it by race, but its not nescessary). I've found that this stops the AI ganking (For some reason when they have allies, AI bloody hate each other.) I have always lost the allience with the original guy. And you get a 2 for 1 deal because tewams tend to givce you the same quests. One wants you to kill ships, t
