Depends on the situation. In my first couple of online games I would always just attack the Cap ships. I quickly found out this doesn't work all the time. The enemy would attack my frigates and destroy them before I could destroy their Cap ship. It just ends up repairing and being good as new. For the early game fights, kill the frigates using single target fire. Use all your ships to attack each ship at a time. At this point you don't have enough fire power to kill the Cap ship fast enough. The

I would have built Phase Portals(w.e. they are called, those things that allow you to travel from A planet to B planet without the use of a phase line) on the planets that are most attacked. I found it is a waste of credits to use bounty as Vasari. They are also usefull for the Black Armada which is a huge boost late game. Getting so many free and powerfull units (little overpowered if you ask me) Who said that?! O.o And ya as one person said use the Refineries as distactions. The AI is a li
Click on the race name? Not sure what you are talking about, the default should random. Anyways, you click on the stuff to change it, such as the AI difficulty and the team numbers
[quote]Yes, the game is astronomically nonsensicalquote] Mhm, and the part about building a space ship in 10 seconds? Spliting the planets up into more stars would have a way of removing some of the tactical positioning of the game and I think in a way make it longer to play. If you have say a six player game and they are all spread out in different Stars that means any 6 of them can attack you. If all planets are in one star you are restricted to the certain phase lines providing more
It would raise the system requirements a lot. Not everyone upgrades their PCs with Sli 8800 and such every year. If they can make the game go lower in requirements at the cost of moving turrets (=O) that you would only care about for a couple battles then they are going to do it. I don't know why people care about the graphics so much. The gameplay is what makes a game, look at starcraft, worst graphics I have seen but people still play it. Now they are making the 2nd that is the exact same but
How can you even play a game with a touchpad in the first place? I'm not sure if this was what you were talking about at the end but you can press Tab and it zooms in and out to the distances you only really need, using the scroll on the mouse all the time will cramp your hand after an hour of play. Zooming closer is just to look at all the pretty lights =P I suggest buying yourself a mouse though
Ya thats what I noticed as well. There are people that complain of ship spamming but there really aren't a lot of choices anyways. But thinking about it now it somehow works for Sins. I can't really see it any other way...
I can't believe that Sins is missing this but it needs a Ban List such as Warcraft 3 or at least a personal Ignore list for people who host. I can think of a couple people that I have had issues playing with. One person in paricular that kept swearing at somebody since they where lagging. It may be annoying if someone is lagging but that is no reason to get so mad. He also has a friend that spends the entire game using Pings on everything he sees >_> An ignore list would be really great fo
I don't think there are any mods yet. Its been only 2-3 weeks and good quality mods take time and testing to make. I would wait 2-3 months at least before looking for mods
Well look at it this way. There are "stages" of ships. Things like LRM and Skirmishers are stage 1. Illuminators are stage 3, and most of the ships are stage 4. Its only in stage for you can really begin to build a mix of ships, even then your not gonna build 20 support cruisers and 30 Heavy cruisers. Instead you build 5 support and 45 heavy. Since there isn't a whole lot of ships to choose from I don't really think you have much choice but to build a bunch of the same one. I only play short gam
Well, I only ever use Vasari so I don't get repair ships. I would say that you only use them once the battle is won so you can keep the fleet moving along. It depends on the situation but most of the time unless I am sure I have won the battle I leave my siege frigates back, I don't like having them destroyed. I only ever build Assiliants since they are cheaper and do more damage, I think the same goes for the LRM. Most of the time I focus all my fire on the Capital ships because I find once som
tsk, tsk, tsk. Lets clear something up here. Starcraft is Starcraft. Sins is Sins. Two totally different games. Don't use Starcraft as a comparison, just look at Sins on its own 2)Use the Black Market. Thats what its for 3)Group the units based on their jobs not all as one mass. Make the heavy frigates or short range jump first as a group or not, that goes smoothly since they are mostly the same speed. The long range together, and the Cap ships in a different group. They are different sp
=O to the extra population limit. I don't know about anyone else but I am never able to reach the max and in most cases, if anyone is reaching the max, they have already won the game. I would like to see some more stuff added to the multiplayer lobby, I can't think of anything right now but it seems to be missing some stuff.
