Is it just me or is there no text there? Perhaps I rambled on too long xD
Shinoda39
To start I don't have a clue how to mode. I took a programing course in grade 9 and failed horribly(60% or so final) and it was Turring probably the easiest code to use. So this is only an idea I am throwing out there and I have no intend to create this myself. I also have no idea if any of this is possible to do in Sins. Anyways, on to my idea... The basic idea is to have the game revolve around ships that are bigger and better forms of capital ships. It would also be pretty much the onl
Aye, I guess online is where it's at if you really want a challenge. It's just that I can't really predict when I'm going to be online or able to play, and I can't be doing with the hastle of finding a game and people dropping out on me and wasting time and all that. It'd just be nice if the AI was a little smarter at defence building!
Ya if you are looking for that then Sins Enhancement is your best bet.
7. Phase Stabilizer: Move them from Tactical to Logistic structures. They are logistic and economic (Dark Armada) in nature. Vasari shouldn't have economic structures fit into tactical slots
lol How is getting free units econmic? Their only other use is to create Phase Lines so that your fleet can move through, a Military use. It has no economic use what so ever.
I just thought of this. When using Support Ships that have targeted abilites it becomes very hard to use them late game. For example the Vasari Support ship that adds Hull Points to a targeted ship. When you have say 3-4 of them group together and all selected, you use the ability and target a ship. Only one of them ever goes and uses the ability. This means I have to make a seperate group for each and every one of them, which can be as many as 8 late game, and use each of their abilities once a
Ya nothing you can do with that. Video Memory isn't the only thing your going to run into. 6150 is pretty low from the miminum spec (6800) Your best off just to buy a new card, especially since it wont be able to run any new games now. I have a 6200 256mb overclocked and I was surprised I was able to run Sins, I can't do any huge late game stuff with full Pop though
I have yet to watch the replay but before I do a few tips. 1)Don't use the "Auto" feature on the Cap ships abilities. If you use them yourself I am sure you can find a strategic way of using them instead of the "first thing I see I shoot" that auto seems to use. 2)Support ships. I'm not sure how well Vasari support ships work end game (they are strong in single star games) This requires a lot of attention because you need to see the target that is going to get hit, time it so when its sh
Ya I found that too. Played a comp stomp online just for the hell of it, 3v3 all Hard and on aggressive. They only attacked once, and that was against my ally with seige frigates. My other ally ended up beating his opponent with Disa Vessels =S Anyways, you should try and play online. Ive seen some pretty good people. For example 3v3, I was going for Illumintors early, my enemy noticed this and massed defenders and Disa Vessels. Since I couldn't get a good number of Illuminators yet he pretty mu
Ive got no idea what people are complaining about. No offence to the team or anything but after 1 game playing AI i was able to beat hard ai on agressive...
1)This is Sins not Supreme Commander. Sins is a 4x RTS meaning it is supposed to take a long time. If you had read any of the reviews you would know that. If you want something like Supreme Commander then go play that. There should be absolutly no comparing when you are judging a game. 2)Your times are a little off, if you want fast matches then play games like Grind Stone. You end up fighting in like 20 minutes. 3)I think the game is a point that it is a very balanced and works well. I
Well I haven't been able to find a good start off with TEC. For Advent and Vasari I usually go with two Eco buildings so I can research Lava and Ice colonization and some faster metal and crystal rate. After that it depends on what my enemy is doing but its usually to get a good military going. For games with only 1 star (is all i play) you don't want to try and rush to heavy cruisers to fast. You will end up getting owned early. Build in stages mixing Eco and Military depending on your surround
lol To thinking there are HD cards xD
If you add too much it starts to take away the RTS aspect of the game making it to complicated to play at a good pace.
*Golf clap*......
Heres where you went wrong "the ai" Plain and simple. Online against real people, the pirates are just a real pain in the but. Has prevented me from killing another player many times. Never been killed by pirates though. Unless you count that one time where I went an Eco build, got double teamed with one team using mostly carriers, and a pirate raid...
This is in every single Rts you are ever going to play. There is no way of avoiding it. I suggest that there be a similer system that DotA in Warcraft 3 uses. They have a league that people must try out for to get in. Only for experienced players. If you leave in the middle of a game to many times you are sure to get banned. They should at least make some sort of ban system that hosts can use.
If you consider the power of a capital ship it is a reasonable price. It takes a good 5 frigates to make up the base damage of the Cap ship, about 400 credits 400*5 = 2000. A cap ship can also take a lot more damage and it has abilites that greatly improve your units and such. For example one of the Vasari Caps can do a good 800 damage on a single unit. They are considered the heroes of the army, you don't have a huge amount of heroes in a single army.
You need to update. Its likely you still have Version 1.0 or so, and you need version 1.2 (1.02, don't remember, point is it has a two, and you don't)When you start Sins, the main menu should have an update option, click it. If you haven't made an account it will ask you to make one or log in. To make the account you enter your user name, password, and cd key. The cd key is located inside the case on the back of the User manual (the booklet). You will receive an email to activate and away you go
Although I haven't played Tec, I have played Vasari and Advent a lot. Advent seems to be more on culture and a slow build, hence having not having a second attack frigate in the first Military Tech tree. They go for culture and their economy upgrades are slightly better then Tec or Vasari but they don't get Refineries. They also lack the military super weapons of Tec and Vasari but they do have a long range Cultural weapon and a tech that allows training over time and extra xp for capital ships
Man how you guys could want more population is beyond me. As it is now a cap ship can't even survive 10 seconds with even half the pop cap used. Beyond max would be "Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Dang I just lost 15000 credits..."
I would like to see some aditions to the Multiplayer, considering that is the only real way to play the game, it should have some more added to it. I like the idea of adding some game modes. Such as King of the Hill where you have to control a certain planet. Ofcourse to make this work effectively you would need a special map where each player gets say 4-5 planets and they only have 1 phase line out, towards the King of the Hill planet. You could also make a 5 Treasures mode-have 5 thin
When I see that I think lag ; ; Anyways looks good otherwise
I for one would love to see more ways to win. When I go online it's really the first to spam LRM's and take more planets, too combat oriented. I'd like to be able to just kill my opponent by turning all his planets to my side through culture, or to basicly buy out all his manufactorers through my economic might (Making it so it takes longer to buy things and they're more expensive or something.) As it stands, Sins is just far too combat oriented for my tastes.
tsk tsk to
Yaa once you get the bigger fleets you can run into this. If you only meet the Min spec requirments then you are likely going to lag in big battles. I to lag with the big battles, that is why I only do games with 1 star in it. Any bigger = trouble for me. Specs?
This is pretty normal I think. They only ever stick the players on two stars and leave any other ones open. Not sure how you have fix this problem
