I have to agree with LinksAuge (Leinad) on this one i'm afraid. I don't think it would be a good idea overall.

This is a pretty good parody you've made, I knew someone was gonna post something like this after HuntingX's posts in the clan X thread. Made me LOL.
Ok, firstly its not imbalanced that TEC caps do not have great abilities since their army is the strongest. Second, you're just plain wrong about alot of the things you say: - Kol Adaptive forcefield and lv6 are VERY GOOD abilities, the kol is one of the very few caps which is difficult to kill even with focus fire and out of those (kol, kortul, radiance) it is the most survivable. - Sova Embargo is incredably strong early game, where you can shut down someone's eco while you build sh
Before today, sins was working fine for me. However, every game today sins has hardlocked about 30 seconds into a game, forcing a hard reboot. Also, Windows now says my hardware has changed significantly and that I need to re activate windows. I really have no idea what is going on here, is there anyone out there who can help? Thanks, Matt W

Also, the new javelis LRM out-ranges malice, brilliance and repel so they can still potentially drop a cap mid game (and for advent, the loss of a high level mothership mid-game is gg). Early game, yah you can counter LRM with defence vessels, but you can never really strike back and destroy his infrastructure, or kill his cap ship. You yourself have said that advent
I disagree that RTS's somehow cannot be "deep" games. If we define depth to be along the lines of how many variations of play are available, then many well known RTS are deep games (while also being very fast paced and requiring a high APM). I think if IronClad wants to make sins have more variations in play and be more about empire building they would need to: 1. Remove rush tactics (cant build an empire when someone's just marza'd your asteroid :)) 2. Buff culture (It is very rare

[quote]For all you whiny little babies that think LRMs are overpowered and will cause more damage than their cost against flak and buildings. play me 1v1 and lets test our your solid mathcraft and theorycraft. Lets see how your on paper experience goes against my in game experience. I've got over 150 games on all my accounts to back up my side of this argument. How about you?Little pissants probably won't even accept the challenge. 12 pm est after that I can play, not sure how long I'll be up, a
[quote]LinkesAuge, regarding the subverters I just happen to agree with Cykur that lategame, Vasari (even in 1.02) need such "great support" to have any chance. Or they could go RA. TEC have their insane economy, advent have their great synergies, what do vasari have for lategame?Thats why I agreed a minor nerf to them was ok (assuming vasari econ is fixed). I played Vasari mainly in 1.02 (Although I liked TEC too), and I can tell ya (once again, like Cykur), I mainly went enforcers (HC) as a va
I think these are all good suggestions. Pretty sure about the first bit on Black Market and LRM. I'd have to think about the carriers and support cruiser stuff before I agree with it or not (Subverter definately needs a nerf, but what you're suggesting could be too much).
Me and Cykur did a test on a small map 1v1 to test this idea of TEC ecospam being too powerful. I was TEC, Cykur was Vasari and I went pure ecospam. After about 30 mins the game was pretty much over. Also, I don't think either of us did anything particularly wrong (apart from the fact that I neglected to get development mandate... oops, but the game was over by then). After this test I definitely think TEC are too strong and need a nerf. Incidentally, WHY oh WHY did they nerf illums and buff jav
I play both too. With the recent patch for FA i'm leaning towards sins :P
@Scorpion, actually I think with these changes, it will be pretty much impossible for advent to counter LRM rush since Illuminators are crappy vs other LRMs (capship type damage) and they are tech 3.
@Scorpion, with this buff to LRMs all LRM type units will outrange turrets. As for hangars, a few flak can deal with them. Even if static D was much better than it is, are you really going to manage to static D every single one of your colonies without screwing up your econ?
The siege frigate nerf doesn't really bother me, since no decent player uses them in multiplayer. However, by the sounds of the commentary it sounds like you're giving LRM type frigates a major buff. This will make the game alot more 1 dimensional and will basically kill off advent as a viable race. LRM spam needs a nerf if anything, not to be turned into the only viable strategy (and in the process making vasari and TEC the only viable races).
The people saying that Supreme Commander has no spam and has counters for everything are incorrect. ASF spam is a large problem late game and t1 spam is the most used tactic early game/small maps. Also, in both those cases the only effective counter is to do the same, except do it better ;)
I'm in the UK and bought my copy via digital download with a debit card. I don't think its available in shops over here (which seems really dumb since its clearly a AAA standard game).
Managed to get it to install by installing in Safe Mode. Game seems to be working.
Hi. I'm having problems getting Stardock Central to install sins. The installer hangs at 1% on "Extracting: AbilityBattleMeditation.entity". I have tried downloading from both available download server's to no avail. How can I fix this problem? Thanks, --Matt W
