The whole arguement against organic ships makes no sense in context. We're dealing with science fiction here and if we wanted to get deep into the "realism" debate then we should take a step back and realize that there are very few realistic elements in SOASE. If it is possible to swallow the idea of phase lanes around space or harnessing antimatter, then why not organic ships? I'm sort of mixed between the two sides. I'm very annoyed when my iconus guardians and aeria drone hosts decide to break formation and move for no random reason causing ships to be destroyed or damaged for no reason. On the other hand, it is very boring to watch a fleet of disciples sit like red coats and shoot at some cobalt frigs. Hey, If you guys see this, heres a big sorry for ending the game. This sounds like a shabby excuse especially since I was being wasted by two players(DJA and Solidus) when the game crashed. I've only followed the discussion up to about page 3, and I understand the POV complaining about the fleet caps. While I don't agree with the status quo in regards to how fleet maintenance is paid and how large empires reach a limiting point to where victory nor loss is completely possible, I do think the problem can be overcome within the current limits. Hey, I've only been playing the game for a short time now, but I was wondering whether there were any tactics needed to be effective in battle? Currently, I'm just sending fleets in and watching them auto bash enemies or get bashed. Besides the occassional retreat, or movement, I haven't really taken an active part in deciding the outcome battles. Hey all, I've just purchased Sins and loving it. I really dont know much about the game and it would be great if I could pick it up along the way while playing some fun cooperative games online.
