Are you using the game cursor or the system cursor? I always play with the system cursor. Rebellion isn't an FPS. I don't see why it's so critical to clip the cursor to the game window. I would fully support a toggle option though. Empire at War, Sim City 4, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, and numerous other titles also do not clip the cursor. Having to alt+tab in the case of Starcraft 2 and Rise of Nations was rather annoying whereas in Counter Strike Source and Deus Ex HR it is desirab

This isn't actually a bug. This is normal behavior for a Windows application. By default the mouse does not get clipped within the active window. The developer has to implement this manually. It's not very complicated to do, but it is a personal preference issue. I prefer not to have clipping except in the situation where I am holding down a mouse button. In SOASE the cursor continues to render and move as you hold down a button. In my game development work I tend to prefer to lock th
I'm sure this post will attract more than a few staunch defenders of the SINS team. I'd like to hear from anyone else that feels like this expansion really wasn't worth the price. What's the refund policy here?
I made this point right when the Advent were released that Rebellion didn't have enough new stuff to justify the cost. We've basically re-bought Trinity with a couple of new ships and new tech buttons to click on. I really w
Yes, drag and resize manually. It's a much better solution than fixed window sizes. It allows me to arrange the game and chat windows next to each other so I can do more things at once.
I'd rather see more moderation to delete pointless topics like this one. I miss the days when this forum actually talked about Rebellion, reported game issues, and posted solutions to game issues. If there's not more moderation then I want to see Ironclad and Stardock become more visible to discourage pointless posts. I'd really hate to see this place turn into the Battlefail 3 forums. What a train wreck!
I must admit I am a little disappointed in the beta. I don't believe that a few extra ships and technologies is entirely worth the cost. I was wondering if there was a place where we could make suggestions as to what we would like to see in the game?
You are not the first and you won't be the last. Suggestions have shown up on this forum for months. The devs appear interested in only feedback about abilities and balancing. Adding additional conten
I've mentioned this in the past and continue to completely agree. Connected dots would be perfectly fine. I really don't like the little preview logo things. It would be much more helpful to see the entire map layout first, although planet types don't need to be decided upon during the preview.
I'd say the Ragnarov is the most immediate fun. If you get it out quick enough it's a one-man army and looks damn cool doing it. It makes me think of the Consortium capital ships in Empire at War, which is a game I'd play more often if it had more RTS space map depth to it like Sins does. The Ragnarov is an appealing design and quite a tough ship. However, the Vasari Loyalist titan (don't recall the name) is more fun as soon as you get access to Th

I do not at all agree with buffing starbases for late game. I really hate that idea because all it will do is drag out the game even further. Late game starbases should be easy to run over with fleets consisting of multiple capital ships or a single titan. Starbases are great for keeping foes in check or really making them work hard in the mid-game, but making them stronger when it's time to decide the victor near the end of the game bothers me. SOASE already can take hours and hours to p
I hate hate hate fighting against the AI when it sends a capital ship retreating and then immediately jumps it back, then retreats, then jumps it back, then retreats, and over and over and over again! I HATE THIS. I want a console command to manually kill the ship immediately. If I play a game like Counter Strike and I see 2 bots remaining with each on opposite sides of a map traveling in opposite directions thus creating a circle I will console kill them both. I want to console kill these ri

The bits effect how much memory can be addressed, it has nothing to with multithreading and core usage. Pithlit, my understanding is that the game is mostly single-threaded. It uses one core for the bulk of the game and another for things like loading textures and the like. That recollection goes all the way back to vanilla release, though, so things may have changed.

To increase the speed of multiplayer games to 2x speed? I feel that its the perfect pace for multiplayer.
I agree with this. I tend to like playing under 2x speed. At the very minimum I have everything on fast and still need to accelerate time to prevent the game from dragging. Otherwise, the game just seems too slow. I know it's supposed to be that way to allow for micromanagement of battles, but I tend to prefer playing at a higher level.<

The Vasari Loyalist titan's ability The Maw is too slow to catch moving frigates. It's been frustrating to micro-jump the titan in front of frigates racing to reform their fleet or jump out of a gravity well only to watch as the titan fails to activate its ability, needs to turn completely around, and then lets the enemy escape unharmed. I've seen the titan point straight at an oncoming or passing frigate only to not activate its ability and let the enemy move away because that po
I'm on an SBE i7 3820, 16 GB RAM, Radeon 7970, and RAID 0 Vertex 3 SSDs. The only time I have encountered a slowdown has been when playing an 8 player map. The game is generally smooth otherwise. Any time there's a significant number of transparent meshes the game bogs down. This was an issue in the or

flannicus90, I completely agree with you. I have the same disappointed feeling. It's partially my fault for reading the Steam sales blurb and expecting this to be a sequel since there was no mention of it being a stand-alone expansion. I still just cannot get over how little has changed from Trinity despite the inclusion of supposed new factions and ships. Would it kill someone to add more planet types and redo the textures and models of the older ships? Is there no successor fo
