It was basically a 3 episode pilot turned into a movie, that being said it wasn't terrible... I was entertained for most of it
This is a sign the Earth will blink out of existence
I agree with everything here, this game is based around the fleets so it seems only natural to improve upon the managment of them with a few simple ideas that honestly seem overlooked.
Manual attacking can be very affective if you have 20 or more fighter squadrons/bomber squads. Just select them all and assign them a shortcut such as ctrl+1 and take out specific targets with relative ease.
Is there any confirmation they'll release it at midnight anyway? Who knows, they just said "Thursday", they didn't say what time on Thursday...
"IF" they were cool they would release it at midnight... that's my opinion anyway
I'm dying to play the updated version. someone freeze me for 12 hours then thaw me out exactly when its released. Better yet ill go to bed and wake up at Noon!
And that is why PCs will always be a better gaming platform to console. We can play what we want, not just whats given us.
I'd only agree with this because all computer nerds feel the same way. But I've been swayed by the beautiful HD and ease of pick up and play from consoles. I reserve comps for in depth gaming experience. Such as a rousing 10 hour game of Sins, or some Civ4, and even MMOrpgs if the mood strikes me. Really it just comes down to the niche you f
spend less money researching. instead of researching stuff so your fleet never dies just send in wave after wave of small to moderate fleets. He will likely be busy with other AI opponents perceiving you as the lesser threat and send his fleets to the other side of the galaxy. Hit his commerce first take out his supply then he can't have huge fleets anymore 3 hours in.(save being on the unfair setting) When all is said and done the gaming experience is far more rewarding if yo
And now since this seems to never end, this will, with 90% accuracy, remain my last post in this very thread.
Rather than just tearing your comment apart I'll just revel in the fact that you wont be posting anymore instead. PS. robin hood was a metaphor not meant to be taking directly from the mythology, but I mean sure okay what I really meant was pirates steal food and give it to the poor... yep that is exactly what I meant.
On a side note, the people I despise most are those who try to rationalize what they are doing. Stop being a sissy. Either be a thief and know it, or be moral and make no need to deceive yourself.
for the love of god get off your high horse, for all we know you could pirate software as well and just be trolling. This is far more likely than you really being this out of touch with the reality. From what it sounds like you live on an Amish reserve, hitting up the cybercafe
Working from your examples, the pirates are right in not handing over money for items with hidden contracts designed to give the companies the legal right to defraud them.

In the right? No. I disagree. You can't win any moral argument on the side of a thief, except maybe at a table of thieves.
Robin Hood. Stealing from the rich and privileged who overstep their bounds? It isn't that taboo you know. Hence why piracy only really has bad stigma w
Of course, just because a company treats you like a criminal does not mean you have to act like one and prove them right. You're only adding more fuel to the fire that way.
your argument is moot, it's a two way street. If companies used better business practices there would be far less demand for piracy. Meaning less need to act like a criminal. also allow me to demonstrate your comments thus far. A large corporation takes steps to murder everyone that doe
Ultimately the figures were to just give an(other) example of how it can be perfectly rational to pay for a game that others are getting for free.
I wasn't really trying to invalidate your argument I was just stating, that if you do if fact pirate things you should have a thorough understanding of computers.
You also have plenty of other costs _incorporated_ in that figure, such as the effort cost to obtaining the pirated version.

Perhaps you'd care to explain how I am acting rationally if I choose to spend several hours (which if I was working instead would yield me an income higher than the cost of the game) to get a pirate version which in turn ends up messing up my computer+causing an expensive amount of damage to it, and also has problems with the game itself
I'm not trying to burst your bubble here but even when a pirated version of a game has a virus or trojan, the community makes it known a
I believe his point is that that you don't need to intend to break the law to do so. For instance, it is physically impossible to follow the legal turn signal intervals in some situations, such as turning left immediately after a right turn in under the (insert your state law minimum) feet required for proper signalling.
Thank you for understanding that it is humanly impossible to not inadvertently break some traffic laws. Whether it be coming to a COMPLETE stop at the st
@cobraA1 what was your point in your post? all you did was reiterate what i said but in a dickhead manner. Taking something of value whether you hold it in your hand or its digital media is stealing.. no ones arguing otherwise. This thread isn't about saying piracy is cool or ok. It's about the use of piracy as a reason to treat anyone who buys a legitimate copy of media, a pirate. As per your logic if i buy that candy bar they still charge me a fine for picking it up and wal
This will be my last entry for a few days since I'm going to Germany to accompany my parents, who wish to see the weekend's Formula-race (Is its name that in English?).So, the last thing that occurs to me is reminding you of the existence of and trial-versions of most things related to computers and games. (and some other stuff as well). When I was first introduced to RTS-genre games, it was a year back. The demo version of Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars for Xbox 360. I thought it w
lol i don't even know what to make of your ignorance/arrogance about reality, sweeping generalizations are what people call stereotyping. As im sure you never break the speed limit or download a song without paying for it. to be perfectly honest you sound as if you are younger than 16 and you have little to no experience living in the real world where if you do pay your rent you live on the street and if you want nice things too that's too bad because you aren't payed enough. Y
I completely agree with PurplePaladin. I knew a guy who had copied more than two hundred games, many of them were very good in his opinion, but would he buy them? No! So that you bought Sins of a Solar Empire after all doesn't mean that all, or even most, pirates are good. (I didn't like the way he did most things. Now I'm not his friend anymore.) I don't know if he's ever paid for anything after going down that road.I know another guy like him, and we never got used to each other, though
I'm not sure why you would want Civ Revolution on your pc, no offence. It's a watered down version of an amazing game. I think people who buy it for their console buy it because theyre missing out on Civ, or simply don't know about it. I think most(if not all) hardcore Civ players wouldnt give it more than 5 minutes. Civ 4 is simply too complete.
Oh come on now I love Civ4 but CivRev isn't that bad. I sometimes just wanna pump out armies in 20min and take over a civilizat
Try to lead a company yourselves, without all the "evil" copyrights that give you your legal rights for something you have made, and see for yourselves how frustrating and bad-for-business piracy can really be.Either your company will prosper, or it will fall. Depends on how many people actually buy what you have to sell.
Again this all comes back to the product of which they sell, piracy of their product can not be considered a loss until said pirate purchases some other
lol maybe if you cut back on the number of planets, say maybe 50 instead of what looks like 500 you wont get this problem
I'm sure the game is good for consoles, but I'm not sure why anyone would want a conzolized version of Civ4 ported back to the PC.
/thread no seriously. /thread I am playing Civ'Rev as i type this. And its fun and works perfect for the quick in and out console game play. But i also have Civ4 on my comp for the times when i want depth. long story short, play Civ4 its the same game but with more options.
