So not a lot of action on the preset maps... are they like playing scenarios? Where does one find the custom maps? Thanks, Javaslinger

Personally I have always played the random maps vs the AI. How many people prefer the set maps? Is the AI more challenging with them? Do you have any favorites? Have there been any successful custom map designs? Thanks, Javaslinger
Does anyone know if they have worked out some kind of deal with Bailknight to incorporate his mod? If not, why mess with perfection? Javaslinger
I am dissapointed to see patch 1.1 taking so long. I realize that the release of Impulse was a major project for the company, but it is of little interest to me or most SOASE players. I also realize that the European release was a priority and I hope that the influx of new players drives more rapid work on Sins again. Sins appears to be stagnating... Javaslinger
Bump for you thoughts?
Did it improve any balance issues? Has multiplayer become stable? Any other thoughts??? Thanks, Javaslinger
I find it interesting that people (in other threads) still mention the release of the 'full set of modding tools promised long ago'... then the dev's come around and say that what we have is the same tools that the dev's use or what I assume the consider to be 'the full set'.... Seems to be some disconnection here.... Additionally, I could have sworn there was a dev sponsored 'what do you modders need/want' thread started and responded to extensively shortly around or right a
Double post.. sorry...
Perhaps even more concerning is the lack of activity on the forums.... It had dropped very, very substantially. This means that interest is falling off not only for multiplayer, but also singleplayer and in the modding community. Bad signs... Javaslinger
I would love to play online if A) There were more games online to actually join... B) There weren't only 2 or 3 viable strategies to succeed... Javaslinger
Ok, granted it's 1:30 EST, but there are like 9 people in the lobby and no open games.... It does say 173 people are online, but I don't see 'em.... Still, a 'hugely popular' game like this I would expect thousands perhaps to be online? And dozens of open games starting up aroudn the clock.... Is Sins multiplayer dead before it started??? Where are all the points/ladders/etc???? Seriously, I'm not trolling, just stunned... Javasl
Will you still be incorporating the WLD mod effects as well to the repack? Thanks, Javaslinger
I took the Adama repack which consists of Sins Plus and Bailknights orignal mod and added the 'merge files' from WLD. I have not gotten any dumps... though I'm not positive that this fully integrates all the mods correctly. It seems to have though... Javaslinger
I suggest you graduate up to at least 'Hard' as 'Normal' difficulty will likely not challenge you especially since you appear to have a decent grasp at this point. Javaslinger
So, yeah, sorry to belabor the point... but... I tried putting your mod folder, the "WLd + bailknight_graphicmod_v1.2" folder, into the the mod folder. That's where the Adama repack mod folder is as well. So as expected, when I started the game, I had the choice between your mod, and the Adama repack.... They did not 'merge'... Just to make sure, you do realize that the Adama repack mod combines both Bailknights mod and the Sins Plus mod.... So I can't just replace
If I place your mod in the mod folder along with Bailknight's mod, I imagine then that I will need to enable both mods? I guess I assumed you could only run one mod at a time.... Thanks, Javaslinger
Any idea how I can incorporate your mod into the Adama repack mod? Thanks, Javaslinger
Hmm interesting... That would suggest that they never managed to kill a ship except for the very first raid.... I would have thought they would be more effective. I guess they're still good for tying up resources of your opponent... Javasligner
So I just played a 1 vs 1 on a small random map vs the AI. During the game each time I 'won' the bounty of the pirates, my bounty would not reset to zero... the clock for the next bounty would start exactly where it left off... Just increasing each time... Obviously this saved me a lot of money... I was under the impression that the winner of the bounty would have his money taken and reset to zero. While the loser would keep his bid until the next go round... A
Any more progress on map 3? Have you considered designing a map for single player? AI friendly? Thanks, Javaslinger
Yeah, it's unfortunate that no one has stickied this yet... Seems like modding support is a bit of an afterthought... javaslinger
Could this 'set' be taken and made into a mod? Or are some of these changes only possible by changes to hardcoding of the game? How much could be done with a mod? Sounds like it would make a great mod... Javaslinger
So, I always try to stay ahead of the game with the pirate raids... I keep the coffers stocked. However, seemingly everytime as the clock ticks to zero, I get a notification that I've been outbid. I quickly add more cash to take the lead, but as the clock is at zero, the pirates come for me... So next turn I have the lead in bidding to start with as my money carries over since i lost the bidding... but i add more to be sure... but still as the clock ticks to zero, I ma again
The best 4x space game is undoubtedly Space Empires V... No question. Though the game is much, much better vs. multiplayer than the AI. Javaslinger
So are all they mods broken in 1.04? Or just some? Have they released the necessary modding files to update the mods to 1.04 or will there be a delay as in 1.03? Thanks, Javaslinger
