wow, i just witnessed the most flashy thing i've ever seen. Playing as TCA, the kol + 5 cobolts + 1 HC vs. few militia at Ice Planet = O.o MAH EYES!!!
These micro-expansions are basically the major parts of a later full expansion, delivered as they're developed. For those who want a "normal" expansion pack, there will be one that combines all of the micros into one box. Obviously though it won't be until after they're all done.
Full expansions normally include an additional faction. Is that in the works as well? And will it be available as a part of one of the mi

If we give the other races starbases, and the original 3 would get the ones in the microexpansion pack, what would happen to those without the microexpansion? The original 3 races would be given the short end of the stick. The micro-ex also offers new re

Actually, I believe its the minority that make themselves heard over the majority. Fanboyism is alive and well. (But don't take that as a wrong thing, you devs are great and all). Other companies have been able to give away 3 units for free, and often times, more than 3. The problem *here* is that its more than 3 units. Its additional research and abilities as well. And the full extent of this was NOT displayed properly. I suggest better wording next time, as the majority of r

Its essientally like the 'Map Packs' for 360 games, $10 for a few new maps in a FPS game is the translation into $10 for a few new units in Sins. I know its difficult, as modders provide much much more, for free, but its understandable that companies need $$$ to stay alive. However, charging $$ for a fix to diplomacy, which was broken from the intial release, is a bit much. Hopefully we'll be able to get a full list of the features each expansion pack will provide. That said, I shall be buyin

i'm a little confused as to the 'update any of your programs'. If i put in a game that's 10 years old, or some random utliity, will Impulse still be able to find updates for it? Or is there a list of compatible software? Also, I liked the green, but I'm indifferent on this color scheme.

@Lost_Wld Coding C++ is a piece of cake. I have a college credit in it, and it only took a summmer. (one of those advanced classes) If you need help, I'm sure I can dust off my old book, and give you some help. @ The main topic, Does stardock have a lounge or anything? Seeing as devs spend a lot of time working, I'd expect they'd have a cafe/restaurant, and an area to relax.
But makes sense. The Death Star was supposed to be a weapon to make fleets obsolete ,so it taking up massive supply makes sense.Besides, you try resupplying a space station as big as a moon. Takes an entire SSD for just the fresh water probably.
i'm pretty sure water is replaced by some high-electrolyte ration. this is in the past remember. ;p
It is actually a design decision, to cut down on CPU usage if I remember right. You can have a very large number of squadrons, and many ships per squadron (imagine an Advent player with 100 squads of fighters..), so they don't have collision detection in order to leave processing power for other things (imagine a few thousand ships 'hitting' the planet at the same time, since each fighter would need its own detection). Moreso because they are fast anyway, and going through/going around is
For the infinite thing, just give it a 1 second duration, 0.5 second cooldown, and 0 antimatter cost. Then, just put it on autocast, and there, you're done.... I think...
or you could have a 999999999999999999999999999 duration, 0.00000000000000000001 second cool-down. I think the best way is to make it last for about 60sec., cost 300 anti-matter, a range of around 40000, and a 120sec. cool-down. This way its not unbalanced.
for vista:C:/Users/**Your User**/App Data/Local/Ironclad Games/Sins of a Solar Empire/GalaxyNot quite. That only works for maps created in the in-game editor. Galaxy Forge maps need to be put into C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Galaxy. The maps will show up with the regular maps.
oh. thanks, its been a while since i've made maps with sins. :NOTSURE:
