I feel that Mars should not be classified as a "Barren Planet". I think it fits more closely in the category of a Desert Planet. A barren planet, in my mind, would be more similar to Earth's moon. I realize that asteroids in SoaSE sort of take the part of a barren planet, though it would be cool to have more spherical planets as barren worlds. A world that I feel would be interesting would be similar to the toxic planets from Master of Orion II: an atmospherically harsh world with acid rain stor
