I agree with Astax. Having a fully upgraded planet is a tough nut to crack, and then adding on missles in addition to whatever defenses you have and your defending fleet is kinda harsh. Unless you're seige rushed which is extremely uncommon these days, not to mention expensive, you should have enough time to get another fleet over there to distract the bombardment and take the planet back. Invasion combat, which I've seen on other threads as well, is an interesting concept but also in the sam
When you win there should be a sudden outbreak of your colonies going dead! And then you send your fleet to investigate and they don't come back :O
Doesn't that go with the Vasari background?
I get the white box, but if I start a game and surrender, I get the pic, so I think it's memory related.
I've surrendered a bunch of times (looking at the preset maps), and sometimes I get a blank screen and sometimes I don't, for
So after numerous defeats and victories. I've discovered that the white screen of victory (or defeat) isn't really race specific or consistent. I get a white screen occasionally but sometimes I get a nice normal screen.
So, does anyone else think it's odd that Shield Mitigation contiues to rise even after the shields are down? Is there something I'm not entirely getting? Is it a bug? I would think that once shields are down, mitigation should cease to increase. I think this would definitely encourage ships to not focus fire as much, and micro battles if the player wishes so. If someone could either explain how the shield/shield mitigation system works, or explain if my logic is off or not that would be
I've had this problem too. With my own ships no less (both cap and frigates). I think that this is kind of their way of slowing up a retreat. But I agree with you when you say that Capital ships should have a plow ability, at least against enemy ships.
So, I don't know if this makes sense or is true, but it seems like there is no point to selling low. If player A sells low, why doesn't Player B sell as high as he can, (200% max, right?)and buy crystal or ore until the infocard says he's the lowest price. I mean, buy low sell high can be totally exploited. B'll either get tons of cash, or no one will get crystal or ore that they need. Either way Player B benefits unjustly. I think that there has to be some sort of balance. Someone can't just bu
I think that the Siege frigates are fine the way they are. They might be a bit costy when it comes to fleet supply, but I think they're relatively cheap resource-wise, and definitely worth it. I usually have a group of 5-8 with a Marza (or other high planet bombing cap ship) come in and the planet's gone in a few minutes, my other fleet's already on its way to attack the next planet, and my colony ship usually chills with the sieges so it colonizes as soon as they're done. In fact, most of the t
Also...White screen of victory?! Does anyone else get some of these things or no?
Yeah, I get a white box too. It's so disappointing, I've spent all that time, and the only victory condition I get is a white box?! A video would be even better. People that get a white screen, do you use Vista? Because Vista seems to be a reoccurring source of problems for this game. Just wondering if there's some kind of connection.
Has anyone noticed when playing Advent if you build a beam defense turret it magically shoots things while it's still a "ghost" and not completely built.
