We need modelers and coders to start work on the mod, instead of endless jabbering about copywrites lol.

Shadow battlecrabs naturally flew forward, with their spikes pointing forward. However since they are in space they could fly in any direction, up, down, left, right. ANY ships in Bab 5 could, and sometimes did. However like all ships, they had a standard "forward, left, right, and back". The shadow battlecrabs front was where it's spikes pointed forward. I was watching footage and the beam was in the center/bottem of it. So it could shoot in any direction except upwards. And the top p

I didn't read the entire thread, and it has been several months so maybe someone commented. But in all of the videos, the Shadow Battlecrabs are flying backwards....

The only reason other Halo mods, like the one for CNC, were shut down was because they were too similiar to games MS was making. And so if the mod was released it would hinder profits, why buy a game when you can DL a mod that gives you all the same stuff, right? But MS has no plans in making any sort of space-based halo RTS. So if a mod of it was made, it doesn't affect their profits, and so they wont care. I agree with everyone here though, a Halo mod would ROCK so hard on Sins. I per

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page This is the most complete source of SW info on the web. Also I posted an image of the most detailed SW system map I've ever seen. It's in the official SW mod thread I believe.

Ugh, I HAAAAATE that deadly secret 'bonus'. I found an ancient artifact on a world, but then found 'deadly secret' so I couldn't use the artifact lmao, was so gay. On another world I also got TWO 'diseased planet's. I mean wtf, that planet is like so useless lmao. 180% longer pop growth! 200% longer build times and costs! DAYUM MAN! 100% lower pop cap! @_@

You could use the little buildings on worlds that direct traffic as mines, and use actual mines as a sort of giant base on the moon. So as you build mines those little buildings pop up along the moon, and then you could build a lunar defense base and a mining facility would appear. If possible put on some guns, and give those guns a very large range (Capable of hitting anything near the planet) and so it'd do the collective damage of like 15 normal defense platforms, with maybe 2 squadrons. (It

Really the only problem would be finding a way to place them in orbit of a planet. Since all you'd have to do to make a moon is take a planet and give it a moonish texture (Like Uzii's barren world slightly re-worked) and re-scale it. For mines just take those little buildings on the planets (Where the traffic flies too) and put them on the moons surface (Instead of floating) and presto, you have a moon with mining facilities.

I'm the kind of gamer who likes RTS games where I can build up my empire with a LOT of options, and be peacefull. Like Sim City type shit, but then at the same time have the ability to amass a giant military and wage war on my enemies. I'd LOVE to see the peacefull sides in Sins be able to win the day over pure military might. I want to see trade lanes be important, I want to see culture steal worlds from your enemies. I want to see more options for managing your empire. I wanna see more civic b
I finally did it. In order to create an effective Interdictor Class, you have to give one of your ships the "abilityhyperspacedisruption." Then modify the BuffHyperspaceDisruptionTarget. In that file, add a entityboolmodifier for "DisablePhaseJump." Then, you can change the range that you want it to be, etc. For some reason, though, my Interdictor would not actually shoot. It would just sit there. I kind of like this though because it leaves it extremely vulnerable so it is only good for

The most realistic interdictor would be to have have an ability where you click it and shoot the ground. Then it'd cover an area around where you shot, and anything in that area couldn't jump to hyperspace. On a downside your interdictor couldn't move either. And the interdiction field stayed up untill the interdictor was destroyed, or the ability turned off.
Most of the time the rebels got ships from factions that were leaving the Empire (Mon Cals and Bothens as example). If they did "steal" something, typically they only stole the design or a prototype (like the X-wing).I kinda lol'd at that zero-g storm trooper.
The problem is though, how do you translate such things into gameplay? How do you make it so that when the empire starts research on a fighter, the rebels can come in and steal it? That's why I suggested the stealin

Exactly, that's what I was going off of. The games only really follow the Chief, and his adventures, they don't showcase the war as a whole like the books do. And in the books the space battles were what was important, not the chief or the other spartans (Allthough they were the lead characters). I mean if the Humans lost the space battle, it didn't matter wether every single covie on the planet was killed, the humans still lost the colony. But if a Halo mod was to be made, I'd

Well I've allways been told that ressing old topics is better then making new ones, so yeah. I figured a nice good Halo mod would be great to have, since in the Halo universe space battles were the main part of the war. A few posts up someone said Halo didn't have that many ships, and that's not entirely true. The games themselves show several types of ships, and you can allways use fan art. Human ships Marathon class http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Image:Marathon-class_Cruiser.

I know, but it would be kinda hard to make it all work in Sins. Since the rebels attained their ships through donations, defectors, stealing. So it'd be a nice fix to just give them a ship that can steal enemy ships.

I'd like to see that kamakazi thing someone mentioned. Like your cap ship is taking severe damage, but instead of just blowing up randomly when it's hitpoints hit 0. It'd be nice to use the last bit of power to make it head towards the enemies cap and ram it, bringing it down with you. Or something. This game's space combat reminds me of a mixture of BSG and Babylon 5, and in both of those the giant cap ships kamakazi'd other caps before dieing. I'd like to be able to do that, especiall
