_____________________________________________________________________________________ Alright here's the deal. Cobalt Light Frigates and even Vasari Skirmishers are medium armor, NOT light armor, units. They are good against heavy armor units (like defense vessels and drone hosts). They are actually fairly tough, although they do very little damage to anything that doesn't have "heavy" armor. The fact is also that, ruling out late game ships such as heavy cruisers, the

Against enough disciples, nothing would have enough anti-matter to counter the advent player's combo. You would only get one Ion bolt off etc. I've beaten this strategy in multi-player as Vasari. The way to do defeat it actually relies more on micro and having a superior force than anything else. Once all of the antimatter is depleted, you will be able to rip through the pathetic disciples like tissue paper. For an advent player to have those 2 cap ships at high level means that we'

This strategy would actually work at choke points. My advice: Boom to capture around 5 planets and "build it up and stay there for a while" at your border planets. Make lots of defenses there. FrickenMoron, you're correct that this strategy is limited. It requires "ideally" a single choke point. Tanker, I think your strategy would work well so long as you were able to acquire enough (4-5) planets and build enough (3+ hangers and 4+ turrets) defenses at the choke poi
