No text with Steam in Technical Sins Forums

I have a really bizzare problem right now. I tend to use steam to boot my games because it keeps them togeather and it allows me to use the steam chat functions in game. This is fine with all my games but Sins. When I boot sins using Steam for some odd reason no text appears in sins. By this I meam NO TEXT, not in the menus (the bottons are there they just arent labelled), not in the games interface, not even in the game itself. This problem only seems to exist when I start the game with steam.
