anyone know why the number of resource of asteriods per planet was reduced?

Did patch 1.03 half the number of resource asteriods on asteriods and terran planet? I used to get 4 resource asteriods per asteriod and 3-4 per terran planet. But now I only get 2 per asteriods. Is this part of patch 1.03 or part of the of "Real Captical Ship" mod that I downloaded.
