Reply to newbie needs help getting started in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

As a complete RTS newbie, I'd just like to thank the previous poster for a fantastic write up. Despite playing through the tutorial and having a read through the manual, my first game last night was painful which although is to be expected, it was a bit depressing too. I've liked the idea of being able to play these sort of games for a long time but whenever I've tried them in the past, I soon gave up, hopefully Sins will the first one where I get vaguely good at it.
