Tom's Hardware (Tom's Games) 8/10 [link="http://www.tomsgames.com/us/2008/02/18/sins_of_a_solar_empire_review/"]Review[/link] Only 8/10? The reviewer must be taken out and dooted like a shog! "What I Didn't Like: No single-player campaign; pace is a tad slow for my tastes; combat could use some spice; the multiplayer. Here's the thing about Sins multiplayer, if you're playing with people you know it's great. The problem is that since the game is already long it's hard

Something more, maybe a campaign, is coming. This from Ironclad: The other major thing I hinted at earlier is "what is the Sins story?". I'm not sure if we're going to call it a campaign or what we're going to call it but we want to get that out there, as creative people. Craig: The archives are there, just waiting to get out! Blair: They're bursting at the seams. http://platformers.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=676&Itemid=1 is the
Homeworld did have an excellent story behind it. Think the story was by someone named Dave Applegate?
And of course defrag your hard disk. Also, does this happen only with this game? Will other games run? If you have diagnostics, run a RAM check. RAM occasionally goes bad. I had a similar problem about 8 months ago with another game. Turned out my power supply was getting marginal. Replaced it, problem went away.
Even beat the Sims! Bravo, Stardock! Could you add The Sims as a new invading force of aliens in the expansion?
Wonder how long it will take them to debug it?
Friends had Pong, yes, remember it well. My first computer was an Apple II with 16K, audio tape to load programs. There was a primitive form of Star Trek bundled with it I remember. Later, got a used CP/M machine for serious work. How many remember CP/M? First computer game I ever played was Spacewar on a PDP-1 in the forerunner of the MIT computer center in 1965. Got there at 10:00 pm on Friday night and at 3:30 am Saturday morning I finally got my five minutes to play! http:/
Specop007, Moo2 is a darn hard act to follow for any game! And Sins is a very new game, just released. Galactic Civilizations II is much closer to Moo2, and the latest expansion for it, Wrath of the Arnor, will be out in April, 2008. You might consider setting aside Sins until it gets a few more patch levels and playing Galactic Civilizations instead.
Humor: See, this planetary bombardment genocide thing is inconsistent with the back story! When the TEC first realized way back there that the Advent had to be ejected from human space, they should have just committed genocide, bombarded the planet, end of problem. Then there would have been no pesky Advent to return and make nuisances of themselves. But no, they had a bunch of bleeding-heart liberals in charge who was afraid to push the button! Serious: Seriously
When you can't swim and the water's too deep to wade, it is normal for people to head for shore.
