Actually, I was looking through some of the abilities (to get some ideas for getting Atlantis to turn as it goes into hyperspace) and I saw one that would allows us to do just that. But it would take up an ability slot, so anything that doesn't have ability slots available won't be dealing on-death damage. But, hopefully, all ships will be dealing damage on death. Thats what i was hoping for, atlantis to turn on its side as it goes into hyperspac

The distance between plantes and star systems should be much larger. i never got the feeling of size when playing sins, it always felt very cramped and knowing the enemy where only about 5 second jump away. Planets should be much larger, they tiny and d not any feeling of scale to the game.
the upgrades you can do to the starbaes need to be more moticalbe

thats some interesting stuff you posted, ive something like the titan was in sins, it could not as powerfull or big unless they increased the grav well size. only 1 would be awailable to build and they could have weakneses aswell. this would make sure 1 of them couldnt go on a killing spre and wipe out an entire player.
I saw that image aswell an thought the hive is far to small, but think about it, if it was made that large i would barly be able to move in the grav well.
