@ Peststa: Make sure you have more then one player assigned to a world through the 'owner' field. You also have to make sure 'ishomeplanet' is marked true (this is where either of the two factions start at. @mesadivad If your running in windows xp, go to my computer (or windows explorer), and look for a folder in c:\ directory called "documents and settings". Right click it and select search. What your looking for is a folder called Ironclad. The reason

What are the files that control the spawn rates of the rogue ships that you encounter in neutral worlds? I'd also like to find out what controls the spawning of the Pirate's structures and units at their bases (as well as the rates that control the attacking waves when you bribe them). I've looked everywhere I could think of and I can't find the files for them. Is it hard coded?

Look in the .entity file under the GameInfo folder. Most mods have the entire resource decrypted in their folder by now. But you can download it off this site. Look for the forge tools option. For example, I'll use the PlanetIce.entity file: crystalResourceAsteroidSetup minCount 2 maxCount 4 extractionRate 0.400000 refineryRate 0.060000 maxRefineryCount 3 Artifacts are randomly placed on the planets in your map. You can increase the chanc

Can't wait to check this mod out when its done! I'd try it now, but my favorite race is the advent, seeing as your still working on this mod *waits* *downloads anyways* Oh no, another mod with un-editable files >_ _ wait until this gets on 7DS. Or until I discover a way to convert these files back into editable forms.

Yeah I was bored today, decided to work on it just for the heck of it: If you guys have ever watched Full Metal Alchemist, you'd know thats the mark of the Ouroboros. The main enemy, the Homonculi bears the mark on their body, usually the place where their abilities center on. Each Homonculi inherit the name of a cardinal sin. At any given time, there are always seven Homonculi.

you can edit the .entity files using a basic txt editor. For windows, it can be opened with notepad. Go into gameinfo folder like UEF said, and look for the files that begin with Capital and Frigate for the ships. The files have prefix's that categorize each ship with a race that it belongs to, Phase are the Vasari, PSI are the Advent, and the Tech are, well, the TEC. There are no prefix cruiser files. Its all categorized into frigates. Don't ask me why, thats just h

Should I be worried about downloading this from a website called SkyNet? lol jk, I'm gonna try this out.

If your using Windows XP (then your sane), follow these steps: 1: go to C:\ directory and find a folder called documents and settings 2: right click the folder it and select search option 3: Search for Ironclad. You'll find two folders as a result, the one you want is looks like: "C:\Documents and Settings\Tom\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games" 4: Open the Local Settings one and navigate through the SOASE folder until you find a folder called

Really? Who's working on it? I got like, nothing done so far, just been looking through the modeling tutorial, then I was going to try a few other things.

Using the XSI Mod Tool, first attempt to import a borg sphere model from a .3DS (originally a 4.2 .nif) went as followed: Any ideas? lol Edit: I might as well just learn how to model all over again. I'm reading Ez's tutorial just incase importing wont work like I want it to.

Alright, what this project is aimed to do, is bring the Borg to SOASE around the same time Trek Mod comes out. This is not to garner attention or to compete with the creators of Trek Mod (as I'm pretty confident their team can out-do me in all aspects of SOASE modding aviable). The idea is to allow the Borg to be playable simultaneously alongside Trek Mod so that people playing the mod, will be able to enjoy the Borg (as a complete outside third party option) with the Federation, Kli

As long as you give credit to Ironclad and Stardock Games as a copyright, I'm pretty sure you can bring stuff in and out to other games. Most mods don't need a consent from the game developers (can you imagine the pain) to export stuff into other games or modify their models/textures/sounds ect ect. Generally, if they release a SDK for their game, they are giving you permission to do whatever you want with the game. The only thing you need absolute consent for is modify

My drivers are up to date, and by complete chance, I have the exact same video card that Theyus does. I have the same problem as he does. It is some kind of Pixel Shader version that it supports? Is there some way to make planets solid? Aside from this glitch, I can otherwise run the game perfectly under normal circumstances. I just would like to see solid planets, instead of this: [IMG]http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj225/bas_hyper/sinsse-20080326-185429.jpg[/I

Thats dumb. I was hoping for some kind of dedicated server, so you wouldn't have to worry about patch versions. Most of the changes I don't even really care about, or would make myself if I was bored enough. Is there any way to bypass the patches to play on ICO? Or even possibly bypassing ICO altogether? Also, for this mod I'm working on (its just a for fun mod that makes everything practically free and near instant build for everything), it worked just fine with 1.0

I don't like how 1.03 changes the game much. Is is there any way I can get the other patches (1.01 and 1.02) legally from anywhere? Also, if Ihave a different version, can I still join and play on Iron Clad Online, as long as the other person has the same version as me (and visa versa)?

How about a way to pay into the bounty thats for yourself? There's already a way you can pay for your opponents bounty, so why not into your own bounty? I think I might try to mod this. Hey, some people like the challenge. I too find the warnings annoying, but its actually kinda funny if your on the other side of a wormhole lol. "pirate raid is imminent... but not really since were not scripted to go through the wormhole, but its imminent anyways cause were comin

I was wondering if there was a way to pay into your own bounty. Now, I know what your thinking: This guy is nuts. But I think it might actually be fun in a multiplayer map or something if the players have a huge empire and get bored while ingame. Any thoughts?

For those of you who had trouble with wormholes, I found a really easy answer. I made this simple tutorial that shows what you need to do to make a stable connection. 1. First, make a system (duh). Make your wormholes. For now, just place it out of the way so you can see your connection line (Phase Lane) clearly. 2. Hover your mouse so its DIRECTLY over the line, and press like your going t
