I would suggest to the devs that they play Twilight Imperium the boardgame. Although I'm sure most of them have, since the similarities are striking. The victory conditions/missions/etc in that game could be a great source of inspiration.

I'm on board with this. It makes no sense at all. Also, can we PLEASE get the ally chat to be a slightly different color? That way you know if your teammates are talking to just Allies or everyone. By the by: I've had a lot of teammates screw up and talk sensitive data to "All" because of this. There needs to be some emergency patch or something. It's funny- but after awhile it starts to ruin games.
I'm just saying it would be nice to be able to set victory conditions besides "lol wtf blow up all their shit!!!" Like, losing home planet = defeat. That'd be a nice option. Or losing your fleet = defeat. Something to tinker with besides just having to phase jump around trying to kill their planets- it's goofy.
Colors were never present on Allied chat- I think there should be some way to tell. I agree 100% though. Make the chat system 'stick' to whatever your current mode is set to. Also, making allied chat Grey or something visible to distinguish it from the other methods of chat.
I think I know what you're talking about here, and let me just say this is not the place. I'll be perfectly honest, I did the same thing as you (if I'm guessing right) and I loved it so much I bought it online through Stardock. If you want to play it online, buy it. End of story. Ironclad is one hell of a developer and this game is kick-ass. Support them.
Hmm. I think I'd like to. Are we talking a game a night? Or play a piece then save it game? I've neglected playing online up to this point simply because I don't have four hours to invest in this game at a time, but I'd love to start with a regular group.
Yeah man. I'm talking either way. Most 2v2 games can be finished in 1-2 hours. But it's just whatever people want to do. My in game name is Leshtricity, so add me on there or Xfire! AIM is
But seriously, what are the victory conditions? I can't tell. There needs to be a decisive point, not just 'kill all their shit' because that's just busy work. The game is over but I still have to jump around killing units. Please take the 'busy work' out of this game. It's annoying.
Is this a joke? I've never finished a game. What all has to be done to 'win'? I just got done with a 2v2 and we completely wiped out ALL enemy planets. Nothing left. So why are we still playing? What does it take to get the victory? It's stupid...
Hey folks. I'm sorta new to SoaSE, but I love playing online. I usually play 2v2 games, 3v3, etc. I'm down for anything though. I'm just looking for a few friendly folks that want to play a few nights a week, especially weekends. I'm not a griefer, elitist, or power-gamer. I just like taking it easy, having a few laughs, enjoying the game and chilling. Anyways, if you're interested in some friendly, chill gaming, look me up.
