For that kind of playable game coming out I am willing to spend double the SoSE cost in pre-order. MOO, X-COM, SC 2, Starcraft, Outpost 2, Ascendancy etc players have evolved into higher payed citizens and are cash cows and can be milked for a lot of cash and the developer who takes this into consideration can make a fortune.

I really hope developers are listening. Last time they were, UFO: Afterlight came out. It is also one of my favourite sci-fi games. As they themselves wrote, PC gamers are different breed than console players. Strategy is victorious. Starcraft still ownes this genere but SoSE is strong second with Homeworld. I really hope expansion/spinoff will be MOO reborn. PS Sorry for mistakes, english not native.

Vasari subverter cruisers, TEC I have not played so much, hoshikos maybe. Vasari subverter with distortion field is absolutely devastating force.

Vorlon/Shadow could give also missions (battlecrab harassing vorlon transport in only debris/storms system) and attack according witch side you choose to help plus money bounty.

I also miss adventure from space strategy games. Taking MOO 2 aspects would spice up the game for me. Random events, more special items (for example ancient indestructible [self slowly movable?]planet defences that can be brought online for balanced price), heavily guarded planets (systems? mid game conquerable) with artifacts/exotic ships/special resources/ancient production bays etc. I also liked very much rogue trader in one space strategy game. In the beginning taking new planet I leave defenders (killing planet bombers) on orbit and start develop planet. Cant build orbital structures but planet infrastructure is no problem. I also rush to get broadcast, trade and refinery. Strong economy first is my priority.
