DsRaider your argument make sense from the outset, but private corporations aren't always that are they? Space x recently was awarded a billion plus contract from NASA, so they are now just a subcontractor that will do the work NASA used to do..but take a little off the top for owners and shareholders alike. ALL the high tech defense industry corporations and future "private" space companies couldn't and would not survive without heavy heavy tax incentives, outright payme

I'll admit for the first two years of my Sins life it was vanilla and vanilla only. I just couldn't rap my head around the whole mod scene, the techs of installation and whether it would look and play like shit, to be frank. Even though I've built the machine I play SIns on just to move a file from one hard drive to another sometimes gives me grief...I don't know getting old. Two years ago on a staycation I installed in quick succession SOGE and Soa2. And Requeim ..and those have been m

The real reason there is no replacement for the shuttle is private corps want your tax dollar to profit on space exploration, instead of your government doing it for (mostly) the benefit of mankind.

I hope they scale ship model size down, it would have a two fold benefit. 1. it would make planet grav wells larger..and give space battles some.......space. 2. Titans would not be so large as to need to do a broken u turn to turn around in a grav well. Also from my understanding smaller models are easier on you system. Though I could be mistaken.

Phychoak, so dip at the pact level is effectively broken, a shame as it has the outward appearance of being more interesting than Ironclads. (star base related defenders). Though the Fed uber ship cheap at 2500 cost. Or maybe I'm playing to much SOGE. Lol(it's great that this ship has all different Picard sound files) And neutral planets need a buff. And this a general question to the Trek modders. Could a doomsday machine be modeled and that ONE huge enemy be put in game to

Completed first game of S0A2 in a long time ! [e digicons][/e] Great work..it 's the little things: Great and interesting tech trees...icons are great work. Sound effects when losing shields and at capital ship level ups. Had rom's as ally so... didnt notice the Rom starbase at first...but great work. Even the diplo pacts look interesting and logical...but they kept getting refused and broken.</

Couple of quick notes: Ai would not keep pacts...but this might be a Sins game problem not mods. When ai speaks to me main screen I get a string not found message on bottom of ui . In main setup screen assigning players races/icons game would not let me choose a specific icon, it reverts back to a set one. My personal opinion only....the reds and yellows in the custom ui is a little bright...glaring even. [e digicons]B)[/e] sorr

[quote who="ZombiesRus5" reply="2501" id="2962542"] Quoting wbino, reply 2500On second run thru with the lower settings still got a m/d but much further in game. I have found one of the issues that may be causing your mini-dumps. Psychoak is testing it and I ran a game for quite a while after making the change locally without a mini-dump. No guarantees there isn't something else. I'll let him speak to specifics on fixes though and when/if they might b

All well and good on the " when it's done front" but the idea that you make the game available for pre order gives the impression that it's further along than it is. btw my guess is Spring 2012. for full release. No way is Stardock going to risk a repeat a EWO mess.

The lack of engagement is puzzling, and most of the interactions come from the publisher, not the developer. I know other add on's have been made but since 2008.....the mod teams have be running circles around the vanilla game, as far as content and ideas.

In a nutshell this is the reason for our economic downturn, a product that should be produced here is out sourced for cheaper labor in China. Sure it would cost more(or maybe poor Apple's) profit ratio would be slightly less...but unless good paying jobs (not Steve) stay local, don't expect the price of your home to increase anytime soon, as no one could afford to buy it.
