Actually, those aren't from Kanraks there from Scavoras Enforcers. The Beams slow the speed of enemy ships allowing them to stay within range of the Enforcers.

The Tec have good armor but weak shields. Their strength lies in their economy which can really help mid game. I like the TEC for their long range combat abilities (especially the novalith) but their culture spreads slowly which can hurt your economy. I like the vasaries armor and raw firepower they can bring to bare on an enemy. The phase gates allow for great manuverability and hit an run attacks. The main disadvantage is a weak culture and mediocre economy. The advent have
It would still be good for games which require some serious horsepower(I.E. Supreme Commander)
I'd try a mixed fleet of maybe 2 kinds of each cap ship with 20 cobalts, Javelis, 40 flak (put them ahead of all other ships) 20 light carriers with interceptors, 20 robotics cruisers to repair any damaged ships, 20 kodiacks with the afterburner ability to rush the opponent and attack the drone hosts while the bombers are attacking your fleet. You might lose a couple caps against that many drones but with the support abilities of ships like the robotics cruiser and the dunovs you migh
I suggest you play all three and figure out what tactics and stratigies work the best for you. Here's a suggesion though, when you start a game immediatly build a capital shipyard and build a colonizer ship( i.e. the akkan for the tec, the progenitor for the advent or the vasari one whose name I always forget. This way you can go out and rapidly colonize nearby planets. Second, do as much research as you can to make your assets more valuable and resiliant in battles. Third, don't forget to de
The current plan only treats the problem but dosen't cure it. I suggest that they take that money and distribute it evenly to every lower middle class and poor person. Not the wall street elite.
A good campaign would be great, more playable races and at least double the current number of ship for each race.
So, I just heard about the results of Viacom Vs. Google/Youtube and I'd just like to know some opinions about it. Personally I know copyrights are there for a reason but what I think Viacom is doing is taking things too far. What do you think.
I suggest building as many hangers as you can and build all bomber squadrons. Any remaining slots can be used for anything else. Next, when a hostile fleet is coming to your planet get some ships over there for assistance. When the fleet arrives select all your bombers and tell them to concentrate one capital ship or siege frigate at a time. If your playing against an AI once it loses one or two caps it will turn tail and run. Against humans get as many of your ships to the planet ASAP or build
Obama seems to have too many inconsistencies. I agree he does sound a little Marxist. However, I don't like McCain much better. He flip flops and panders just like the rest of them. If you ask me we need to get rid of republicans and democrats no party should have the power those two have. Also, we should limit presidential terms to just one term since it seems that whoever is elected does relatively well in the first term but begins to push their own agenda in the second. (Conservative from Wis
Novalith, build 2 in a system with a pirate base and you can kiss raids good bye.
This is a stupid question but how do I download mods? I went to the site where the mods are and click the download mod link and I get a zip file. Is there any special path I need to enter? Please help.
"The death penalty solves nothing, and there is a consistent correlation between higher crime and the death penalty in areas where it is utilized" You haven't been to Detroit or the north side of Milwaukee have you?
Capital punishment is a good way of balancing things out: a bad person kills a good person and the bad person forfeits his life as a result. Not only that but it ensures the bad persons DNA can no longer pollute the gene pool.
There are some really good points for this post. What about tarraforming? Have some research option where you can turn a ice planet or desert planet into a terran?
These conditions sound great but one thing I would really like to see is when a culture overwhelms a planet the population remains and they become part of your empire.
The second option seems more probable. Although the U.S. could avoid other nations ganging up on us be continuing to allow freedom for all of its citizens and by not forcing its will on others all the time.
If I wore those I'd have to kick my own ass!
With a game on this scale its almost impossible to have a campaign that would make sense.
Once alt. fuels replace oil the middle easts economy will be left in absolute ruins. To paraphrase the Vasari " The Middle East is Ours for the Taking"
[quote]Yeah, I guess I agree with GeneralEltrius but honestly, the 2 party system is crap. Listen to George Washington and just have everyone different.Once China will loose Tibet (IT WILL LOOSE TIBET) it'll collapse in on itself like a newtron star because its way to impoverished and dependant on imports to actually become "the greatest nation". We have 13 times higher GDP than China and that country isin't even number two in terms of that statistic. Japan has 4 times larger GDP then China![/qu
I could not agree with your statements about guns more. Guns are good for protection but they are completely useless and even dangerous without proper training.
China is already a superpower. However, if they keep up their heavy industrialization and unrestricted pollution within 30 to forty years you will probably see an ecological disaster occur which may seriously damage infrastructure. I also see the China as sharing the same fate as the Soviet Union. Thats the problem with Communism, it starts with revolution, then the new government takes over, and then comes the redistribution of wealth and power. During this stage the new government takes contro
I tend to start out with two Kols. Granted they have limited abilities but they can make for a great desense/offense against early game rushes.
Cruisers(except heavy cruisers) rely on their special abilities rather than straight firepower. Their abilities are used for supporting other ships which may not be able to fill the roles for certain situations. These abilities give your fleets better staying power.
