ok i love you for modding the game to see its full potential...... a) what is your system hardware and software b) where the heck do i download this
I agree with the last statement above, yes it should be slow to start off. As the game progresses it should be much easier with friggin 10 planets and you still nickel and dime like you did in the beginning. Thats the only issue I really have with this game. Also, I believe you should be able to put more stuff in your orbit. It's a friggin planet, not a warehouse.
Frankly i agree with this... but I've also said for a long time at the last fleet logistic upg
I also agree that the defenses are far too weak... The gun platforms should have at least more range.... remember we dont have to use power to move a stationary defense post and geo or leo orbit will keep it in position.. which means more power for pushing a projectile or focusing a beam farther. :-)
I play to have fun and to win, but I won't use glitches, cheats, and exploits to win. As for my clan mates and I the only time they or I would ever exploit or glitch was on our pub when we were messing around. At this point winning doesn't even matter, as long as everyone is happy and having fun i'm game here. Still I might be a tiny bit dissapointed if my profile was damaged from all the messing around. But knowing everyone had fun outweighs that feeling by far.
[co
Guys seriously... The next time you update this would you please make it a natural game feature to increase the capital point and the supply limit... at least by 5 times what the maximum for each is now ,[(16) and (2000) respectively,].... Also, I think tenacious and cunning pirates would be able to afford capital ships if they control planets and asteroids with enough defenses that a serious armada needs to be sent in to pacify it. Dont get me wrong, I lo
if you want to be ranked go to case's ladder or somewhere else... official ladders have always been exploited by jerks with a serious inferiority complex
ok guys so whilest you've been arguing on the forums my buddies and i via lan have been testing the strategies.. against this theorized LRM rush... Here's the scoop so far... carriers...... if you have them.. these LRM boys are getting toasted a lot quicker.. and not just capital carriers but the cruisers are even useful too.... Test it out for yourself... Even in a 1 star map with only 2 clusters of 4 planetoids 1 v 1 carriers along with a strong defense early on seemed to dete
Bombing his planets did nothing as they were in two separate star systems - by the time one was wiped out, the other would get recolonized.
you didnt colonize the bombed planet and build defense ??? all you had to do was wait for him to come back to take the second planet.. with a couple of fighter defense bays and whatever capital ship you had at the time im sure his 43 LRM's wouldnt have done him much good [color="#FF0000
Well I would like to see the Fergs in the game as either pirates or a playable race. The Fergs were a big part of TNG
I hope you realize, and you probably dont, that the ferengi's offensive and defensive capabilities on even the biggest ferengi ships wouldnt go toe to toe with even a federation science vessel.. Before you go on touting the greatness of the ferengi empire you should probably realize that the Soase is not an env
How sad is that, a mechanism that has nearly half a game to support it -useless-? Building 16 capital ships ought to be a viable option, something long off and sought for- not something that cripples your fleet, wastes your logistics and makes you a complete joke.
really?? 16 capital ships isnt near enough for my games.. In fact we've had to modify the game to allow up to 500 capital ships and 50000 supply points ive easily built 16 cap
starcraft sucked.... and i agree.. blizzard hasnt done a very good job addressing the rush issue in any of its games... but especially the starcraft title...
All ship spammers are n00bs, they spam because they know that they will not win any other way. Often, it is easy to make a ship spammer stop spamming simply by telling them that they suck and won't amount to anything.
the designers of Soase must have known the ultimate way to kill a rusher ( make it take a long time to get to the opponent) ship spammer must be the newest term for this style of play.. however since Warcraft II we h
there is a big difference between strategy and the quick kill exploit sins has done a good job of screwing the 15 year old rushers that like to win their games in 5 minutes my advice.... forwarn players in your game that its a long term commitment and may take several 3 hour or more sessions to finish a game.. I think all of us will find once the game has been developed to its
The best 4x strategy game of all time WAS Master of Orion 2 -however with the release of this game i may be convinced to change my 14 year opinion of the best game of all time.. and yes i still play it and yes it is still badder than any of the games that have followed it... how do i know sins will be as epic and awesome as master of orion 2 was.... Because the same thing happens to me when i play it... I warm up the game look at the clock and it says 2:
one problem i keep having in the game is my huge armada's will not attack a player i was allied with before... it seems to be humans.... anytime im in system as advent i have to manually select them to fire at each target if i dont they will just sit there and let the opposing tech forces attack while doing nothing to retaliate... Is anyone else having this bug? id also like to see the supply and capital ship limits increased.
im still waiting on the star trek mod :-p
competitive players are jerks when in the public arena.... if you want to play competitively play on a ladder.. not in the public areas.. why being a competitive player ruins it for us all. Because we play games to get away from our stressful lives and worries. Once you start competing all it does is take away from the fun for everyone else.. The game is about having fun and learning new things... One thing sins has really done is stop the competitive..
here is the advice that you should take make the pirate element the borg :-) good day :D
when you play the type of maps i do getting wiped out early means being defeated on the 3rd or 4th 4 hour session of game playing... the save feature makes this a strategy game to live for man :D
