Hey all - another quick question. Trying to raise the max experience level of a capital ship from 10 to 20. The only sort of cap I see is in gameplay.entity; I modded it as follows: ... ExperienceLevelData:9 ExperienceNeededForNextLevel 9800.0 ExperienceGainedForDestroying 580.0 UpgradePriceForNextLevel 3200.0 ExperienceLevelData:10 ExperienceNeededForNextLevel 9800.0 ExperienceGainedF

What did you voice, Blair? The new Cobalts? If it was the Ruiner, well ... wow. I'm a staunch Advent player but the Ruiner's voice gives me a whole new reason to play Vasari. "MOST DEVIOUS!" You know, considering all the awesome gear Valve offers (including the completely genius Vortigaunt plush toy and Headcrab hat), I'd say it's high time ICO start rolling out some Sins goodies, at which point

I was the author of one of the "why starbases should move" threads - I wasn't looking for super-capitals but I did think the Vasari movement gave it too much of a defensive edge. I am completely content with how the game is balanced now - Advent are my favorite faction again! Woohoo! LHDAllaxul: as far as I can tell, the benefit of 2nd level meteor is extended range (from 4000 to 6000). This is really potent because the ability doesn't have a max target count. Been awhile since

Transcencia meteor showers are bomb. Supported by hangars, repair bays, mines, a PJI, and a regenerator, I've seen my starbase stop some unbelievably large fleets. Every time they would jump in I'd go "oh no ... THIS time I'll need to come to support" and next thing you know the fleet is retreating through my mines and a single badly damaged transport escapes. Transcencia just locks down an enemy fleet and slaughters it - a beautiful thing. I've only used Final Judgement once - the de

Or Command and Conquer Generals, where you snipe a USA dozer with jarmen kell and then get air cover for your suicide bombers. : p I love that game ... But correct me if I'm wrong: there is no tech to build a TEC starbase, just a tech to get the constructor. The build starbase ability has no tech prereqs, therefore dominating a TEC constructor would allow you to build a TEC starbase. It wouldn't allow you to get a factory in it (because that's a TEC tech you dont have access to) but y

Hey - Forgetools indicates you can only have 4 abilities on a ship. I've managed to get to 5 (with one of them hidden under the choose abilities button), but I can't find a way to make the abilities fill in the second line. My question is: is it possible to give a ship 5+ abilities/upgrades, andor is it possible to make capital ships level up like starbases? Thanks so much!

I agree - free exploration at that point isn't really broken. But researching two levels of it manually every time is a bit confusing - especially since I didnt notice that till now after playing the game for almost a year now. : x If it really is deliberate, I suggest making free planet upgrades happen automatically (just like the Akkan's free extractors).

Researched both levels of divination. After colonizing with a Progenitor mothership, both levels of planet exploration upgrade are completely free. Is this deliberate? Seems like there should just be a massive discount ...

Friends - thank you for a stimulating argument, in which some ideas were presented I did not hear before (and will research when I can). I regret that I do not have the time to do this extremely intensive topic justice and do not want to dishonor your very well-thought-out replies or my position with a hasty response. My busy schedule holds me back; I unfortunately cannot continue this debate. I salute you all and can't wait to look into some of the points you've made. In lieu of anyo

First off: thanks for not flaming/condescending. Respectful argument ftw! : ) Second: apologies to Attila464 for participating in the hijacking of this thread. Topic is too juicy to pass up ... Hehe don't worry brysoon ... I'm much too addicted to this game not to have memorized locations. I can see the explanation behind accidentally finding nanojammer research, but, especially considering the widespread use of nanobots in Vasari weaponry (nano-dissassembler, repair cloud, etc ..) it's vastly more logical to say: the Vasari weapons lab has found yet another way to use nanobots militarily. There are civilian applications too - like nanomedicine. Point being nanotech
