I think that it has to do with the new ability you added in for constructors Blackseraph, "Classification: Module Constructor". Whenever I try to build a structure, that is used instead of Construction, which is what is supposed to be used, but you got rid of it.
That was my initial thought too.
Actually, Covenant hulls are actually fairly tough. Covenant use Forerunner technology, so most likely they also use Forerunner metallurgical technology as well.
Well the Covenant's reverse-engineering skills probably aren't that good because the Forerunner keyship could take three MAC rounds without even looking like it was hit.
Alright guys, just FREAKIN stop with the UNSC shield idea. They never had them, and from what I know, never will in the near fut
The reason the Covenant hulls are bad like that is due to the fact that they are near organic and if the shields hold, their is no reason the hull should be there. Its just there to seperate the Covenant from space. If the UNSC developed a kind of incendary round, they could tear through Covenant hulls easily.
The constructor simply doesn't move. I am using 1.05
Culture is a bit of a pain when rival factions use up all their civilian logistic slots with culture centers. Research usually takes care of it, but if your fighting a Hard AI, research might not always be enough ;p
As long as we are talking ship lists :d UNSC ships: Frigates: Mako corvette Frigate Heavy Frigate Destroyer Prowler colony ship Cruisers: normal carrier, Re-arming freighter, Halcyon, fan-made heavy cruiser Capital ships(and their TEC equivilants): Halcyon refit/KOL SuperCarrier/Sova Refit colony ship(like SoF)/Akkan Mobile Repair station(like Cradle)/Dunov Marathon/Marza The list follows
It would be alot better if us dial-up people got to see more than 2 seconds per minute :( , but still it was truly epic :CONGRAT:
I got dial-up so I can't watch until late due to the fact that people call me, but I'll watch it ;) I loved Johnson from HaloCE, especially his speeches on the PoA "Once again, it is our job to finish what the flyboys started. We are leaving this ship, platoon, and engaging the Covenant on solid ground. When we meet the enemy, we will rip their skulls from their spines and toss them away, laughing! Am I right, Marines?" —Normal "Men, here is where we show those split-chin
Just think of a clever acronym for ISK so when the ISK beggars come around you'll give them a load of ISK ;) I've never played EVE before because of my damned dial-up X-(
I downloaded the incomplete mod last night and made my first attempt at playing it today. The first bug I have come in contact with is that the module constructors refuse to move. When I roll-over the constructor it has the green line that is connected to the designated module to be built, but its not moving. That bug has limited how far my empire's reach is, so I didn't get to test much. I am 99% sure the bug is related to the ability that has been given to the constructors in place of construc
The narrator of the intro was probably a TEC officer and he thinks the Advent is the most evil thing in the universe. *fires Kostura at ignoramouses* *moves in fleet* *stands victorious on ignoramouses' razed planets* *lols(rotfl-iing is just unacceptable for a ranking Vasari officer)*
I've got a Commodore64 hiding in my closet, I believe. I think it only has 64K worth of memory  My other old computer is a '98 e-machine. I tried to scrap the DVD-ROM drive so I could play SOASE :), but the drive didn't work and I had to buy a $90 drive because I couldn't download it off the internet because of my slow dial-up X-( Ahh . . . nostalgia :)
Ya, I love the hack battlenet Idea, that would be genius. But you can't have shields. That's ridiculous. UNSC don't and won't ever have shields. Maybe have like a level 6 upgrade for one of the capital ships to have a 10 second shield powerup that makes them invincible or whatever.
Rather than a Capital Ship ability, a very high tier ability that grants UNSC Frigates and Destroyers a quick, weak period of shielding, with an insane amount of antimatter needed
or a high tier support cruiser
What I was basically saying was that the UNSC has to be more tactical early game. Later on, they do gain techs to help even the odds out in their favor. I think shielded capital ships was one, along with some plasma-turreted ship.
I was told by someone from the Homeworld Halo mod that cross-overs such as shielded UNSC ships are not very popular. Anyways it wouldn't feel like the UNSC if you had shields and plasma. AN EDIT BUTTON :SURPRISED: I just thoug
DANMAN, have you ever thought of putting in dwarf planets or planetiods like Pluto in 7DS?
Weren't there three of them at Reach when it was invaded? I think they were there to shield the SMAC's right?
how did this go from politics to green stuff
Because using non-replenishable resources is becoming less and less practical everyday, for example, oil gets more and more expensive by the day(seems like it doesn't it :SNIFF!: ), we will search space for a new resource or more likely, more of the resource that we ran out of. This is because humans are inert, we don't like change. If we found something that works we stick with it, regardless of the consequences sometimes. And
I'd love to playtest for you :D If you click a person's user name a drop-down menu will appear and one of the options is e'mail
The only time the humans really did anything remotely close to kamikazing(as far as I know) was with those massive repair ships.
NASA is a big waste of money that can be used somewhere else like I don't know, this gas crisis thingyI disagree, NASA is very important its just a shame its ran by the U.S. government which is sadly ran by big business and their lobbyists. Every politician has his/her own agenda that helps which ever company helped them get into office. Which would validate your statement: Governments will stay corruptbut back to NASA; They would have created a ship (Project Prometheus) that wou
we won't make it past the moon. NASA is a big waste of money that can be used somewhere else like I don't know, this gas crisis thingy. The point is we aren't colonizing anywhere outside the atmosphere until we fix everything down here, on Earth.(highly unlikely :SNIFF!: ) Governments will stay the same in space(if we ever get there); corrupt X-( We will still blow the crap out of each other too no matter how much resources are up there.
The Halcyon, being a class unsuited to the modern front lines, could be used as an unarmed ammo distributor for a larger fleet.
Or "meat shield". Also, if you can find a way to incorporate ammunition, please, that would be cool :D , but as far as we know, its impossible(to the average coder). Besides it would change gameplay to a point where its straying too far from Sins.
still, that is perty big. A CCS-class BattleCruiser is a little more than half of that and CCS does stand for Covenant Capital Ship ;)
just a wee bit, but thats what I'm here for, noob-answering and idea making, right?
