I think one idea to consider, especially for Sins, would be to create an online galaxy or universe similar to MMOs and charge a subscription fee for that. You could have an online universe with hundreds of stars and thousands of planets that would be continually fought over. In effect, it would be a hybrid MMO-and-RTS4x-thingy. It would require some significant server power, but the subscription service would provide an income stream in between expansion packs. That way, people who are
