As a small part of the community know from a previous post (that went a little off topic and got really confusing), I CANNOT GET GALAXY FORGE TO OPEN!!! Argh it's SO frustrating [e digicons]X|[/e] !! Alright here is exactly what my situation is: I have Windows Vista I have net 3.5 I have downloaded 7-zip from 7-zip.org. It is the .msi version 9.12, and I know that Vista is a 64bit operating system and I have successfully downlo

I was just wondering if anyone had any cool/epic/dramatic/funny/pitiful etc. stories of in-game experiences they wanted to tell to the community! Post them here and please be long-winded! Screenshots or replays to go with explanations would also be sweet!
[e digicons]8(|[/e] JEEZ!! What is the point of all that stuff?? I could maybe see the usability of a dual monitor system and a mac... but all that is a little somethin' i like to call overkill. I would set up LAN parties, personally. and you haven't answered ha: where do you put your legs?? hmmm. but still... it is quite beautiful [e digicons]:')[/e]

As far as I know norton only fixed problems from that first site I attempted to download 7zip from. It usually notifies me whenever it thinks there is a problem and I can't find anything involving GF in my Norton activity history. It hasn't reacted at all to GF. And actually, the 7-zip.org download process actually looked different from the 7zipdownload.com process, which actually showed me that it was downloading the adware.hotbar; I just didn't
also, Galaxy Forge is still not included in the windows program list. as of now it's just a file. is this wrong?
Man I don't know what's wrong. still not starting even with the 3.5 version. i download GF off THIS sight, right? the downoads tab in the upper-right corner? do I need something else downloaded first (besides the game istelf, of course)?
Okay great got it downloaded off that site but the second i open it windows tells me that galaxy forge has stopped working. I noticed that GF didn't show up in the windows list of programs i don't know if it is supposed to. I tried both the 32-bit and x64 versions of 7-zip i don't know if that would make a difference either. any guesses what's goin on?
I downloaded it from 7zipdownload.com, a site Norton said was safe. Although Norton could be wrong lol. Is this the correct site or no?
I downloaded 7zip but had two problems: 1)When I tried to open Galaxy Forge (GF) through 7zip Windows gave me an error message that said GF has stopped working and Windows is looking for a problem. I tried this multiple times. 2) My Norton antispyware freaked out on me. It gave me like 6 or 7 items that had to be fixed, something about advertising or some crap. Definately NOT blaming anyone, but just wondering what may have happened?
Thanks Ue and Zombie I'm sorry I changed the post so drastically I figured out the problem by looking at another forum post but found a new problem and thought I had changed the post before anyone commented. You guys are fast !! Karma to both...
The in-game map designer sucks and I really wanted to make my own maps but definately do not want to pay $30 to get my comp to read the .rar file so I could open and use the Galaxy Forge. Does anyone know of any free or super cheap file readers?
I would very much dislike a SoaSE sequel with land-based battles... or least with too big a focus on them. SoaSE is a space game. Few things in gaming give me the same satisfaction of watching the huge SoaSE ships in huge fleets, on a scale that I haven't even seen on TV, blast the crap out of each other with such a variety of weapons. This is the reason I fell in love with SoaSE, and this is how it should stay. M
Every time a click on "Connect" under the "Join" tab in the multiplayer menu, I get a message that tells me I have been Disconnected from the game server... help?? I can't figure out how to get online for the life of me...[e digicons]X|[/e]
I am so confused!!! While I've been playing Sins for a while I haven't ever gotten involved in the online community until, like, yesterday, which was a HUGE mistake.... Obviously something HUGE has happened... What's goin' on, guys?! Why all the amazing players leavin? What exactly has happened?? [e digicons]o_O[/e]
A lot of the ideas being tossed around here are awesome and I might as well throw in my opinion. Fist of all, I personally would be very dissapointed if a SoSE sequel included land-based battles; however, if this was included I would prefer to see it very very simple and small-scale, with the main focus remaining on the feature for which I fell in love with SoSE in the first place: the epic, huge space battles. Few things in gam
So I haven't ever done online play, but in single-player mode as the Advent I can beat the comp on hard (yeh I kinda suck [e digicons]:'([/e] ) building an offensive fleet completely based around drones. With the correct ballance of Interceptors and Bombers with some support frigs/cruisers to target the enemy flak frigates I can crush pretty much any opposing fleet in a relatively short time. Does this kind of strategy still work when playing online?
