We Ran into all of these bugs tonight trying to play We had 5 people vs 3 Unfair AIs and had all kinds of problems with money and starbase upgrades. Negative money for most of the game which really screwed stuff up.

I was in the game with Hardtarget24. Just did a massive 2v2 (2 human, 2 Insane AI, 5 stars). Turning OFF Alloy prevented the money and upgrade bugs from showing up. The game still ended after 4.5 hours with a Minidump (we would have won). And there were so many mines MY system came to a crawl - I don't think many people are going to be able to host this game. One AI had over 400 in his gravity well... Not to mention the million my Vasari lay.
http://savefile.com/projects/808723040 This project should contain 2 files. Both are the replay of our 2v2 game (we reloaded at about 2 hours to see if that would fix the issue, hence 2 files - PS, it didn't). Unfortunately the 4v4 game didn't save (maybe the minidump had something to do with it disappearing?) You will need Entrench v90 to view them, or it will just minidump. We still had the same prob
If you have the replay i'd post it.
I'll look. Something else I forgot, in the 4v4 it ended when we all minidumped simultaneously. I even heard their minidumps over ventrillo.
This is gathered during two multi games. First was 2 people vs 2 Hard AI (1 Star map). Second was 4 people vs 4 Hard AI (3 stars). Issues: -Starbases are
I must say, I completely agree with you, CWO109. I typically play large maps, but even with the extra planets, it sometimes seems like I could actually go get the groceries. I would also like it if they had a numerical representation of how much faster the game is going - i.e. "2x" or "8x" as compared to "normal" and "fast" - as well as maybe make the speed modifier like a slider bar from "1/4x" to like "8x" instead of the simple "slow", "normal", "fast" options, or at least
I never mentioned the story was bad. I said the movie was. To clarify, yes, I meant Tom Cruise's movie. Here's a counter-claim: don't attribute your personal dislike of Tom Cruise to the quality of his movies. The Mission Impossible trilogy are good movies and The Last Samurai is also a good movie (based on world wide reviews and critical acclaims).
Boy someone is in a bad mood today, and wrong. Missions impossible 1, 2, and 3 in order of rating (from rotten tomatoes) is
There are certain maps that start you with units, extractors, structures, etc. Also, its unlikely to have a 4 hour multiplayer game, unless you do 2 people on a massive map or 5v5, all really good players. Either way, the 5 minutes you save in the beginning is not even worth talking about given the length of these games.
You are all missing the obvious, but it's not really your fault, it's bad marketing. There are TWO 8800GTS models, the "old" 320/640MB versions and the "new" G92 based 512MB versions. The G92 8800GTS 512MB is the same core as the 9800 series. Why Nvidia called a new core an old name I don't really know, but they did. Right now the way things stand is you have (G80 core 8800 GTS 320MB) --> (G92 Core 8800GT) --> (G92 Core 9800GT) --> (G92 Core 8800 GTS 512MB) --> (G92 Core 9800G
I'm probably one of the few who noticed the quirks of visiting distant planets that support life: diseases. Micro-organisms will 'pwn' your butt eventually as soon as you set foot on their soil and breathe their air. The only movie that got this right is War of the Worlds, as crap a movie as it is.
Yes, but it is a remake of a much older and better movie for its time based on a radio play that was phenominal and actually convinced a large portion of its listeners they wer
Because the three minutes it takes you to build extractors in a 3 hour game is too long? Also, colony ships are fine. If you want faster caps, build the Colony Cap first instead of the battleship. That can jump in, fight, and cap in no time.
That sounds like your biggest issue with this gameIt's a very, very legitimate issue because it's 20 times more fun playing the game in online multiplayer than it is playing against dumb AI. AI is great for testing tactics and learning the game initially, but it's much more fun competing against a human intelligence. That's a good point. I'm just learning the game, and I'll give online a fair try, but I'm much more likely to play single player most of the time. I don't have a problem with
They’re all playing, they’re probably just not playing with you. If they’re like me, they’re playing with a group they know, who schedule a time to play. Let’s be honest, this isn’t a pick-up kind of game. With the average game around 3 hours, I want to know that A) everyone will stick around for that long and B) they’re not going to be jerks. If I’m going to play a 3 hour game I want to enjoy myself, not fight off LRM rush after LRM rush. This game just isn’t compatible with the typical ha
I'd really like to designate rally point for Returning Armada ...
You can, I think so anyway. I set planet rally points (zoom out, select the planet, click the rally symbol, rally to another planet) and anything built at that planet (to include Armada if I remeber right) is sent to where you want. With phase gates, I have them all go to one planet, then move my massive hodgepodge fleet where I need it. Also, for all those complaining about autocast, I believe i
Did you get all the Vista hotfixes for gaming? Some of these should be installed already if you use windows update, some aren't. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/938194 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/938979 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940105 There was a 4th but I can't recall it at the moment... Anyway, my SOASE crashes were due to memory overflows and one of these fixes that problem. Look here for info too: http://forums.tweakguides.com/showthread.
