I'm having difficulty trying to start in a specific place. NewPlayer0 isn't enough. It should be that by default but it always puts me in start position 3. Even if I'm first in the game lobby selection.
Something is wrong. Whenever I set the TeamIndex to anything, the game permanently puts me in slot 3 in a new game. Always, and I can't change it back to -1 for Team Indexes. I'm still in that slot. What am I doing wrong? I can set the team indexes to anything and it always puts me in slot 3.
Get Galaxy Forge, and look at the beginner guide pegged to the top of this forum. It's pretty easy to use for basic stuff. Not all the functionality is there, but it's pretty decent if you just want to make a simple map with close together starting points, or a very loose scenario (you and your friend vs. 3 or 4 aliens or something).
I had it that way. I changed the name of the faction to something preset, but it should still work the same. I'll play with it some more. Thanks.
How do I choose which player I start as? I made a specific map with a scenario in mind, but I can't seem to let it choose what slot I start in. I want to be in the first one, but it keeps putting me in the third. Is there a way to force it to make it put the user (I.E - me) in the first player slot?
