I've really been enjoying Sins Rebellion and therefore decided to get my friend a gift purchase of it on Steam. We played one small 1vs1 map successfully and then moved to a 1vs1 with 23 planets and had no issues. Each time I hosted through ICA. Yesterday we wanted to try a Hard AI and do the 5vs5 Large "Gateway" map. We were about 2.5 hours into the game when he lagged out. Is Sins available in German? My cousin still lives in Germany and I know he's into the SciFi RTS genre... I could get the ball rolling there. This seems right up German RTS players alley's!

Back to the topic of "mopping up after"... :) Personally, I don't mind it at all. Since I'm a fairly new player and am not an online RTS player (because of the aforementioned Aces and Pros) I find it to be a nice lax period of time where I get to check out all my researched goods and test them to see their effects. Homeworld was good. But a lot of people overlooked Haegemonia: Legions of Iron. The game came out a while back, and in my opinion has a one-up on Sins graphically. I like some features better in Sins, but graphically I think Haegemonia still rules the Space RTS genre. For a game meant to run on a PIII that's impressive in my opinion...
You must mean Sound card... not video card. :) I don't know of any Video card that has the Game, Entertainment, and Creation modes... :)
