He means multiple units. Like if you want your fleet to engage a specific cluster or "group" of enemy units before the rest... or focus fire on the enemy fleet as opposed to the gauss platforms. In Homeworld one would CTRL and click drag select the targets and the command would be given to attack those targets first before just engaging targets at will. I'm not sure it can be explained any more plainly.
Not quite what I was hoping for as a resolution to phase lanes. I agree with many people here, that the phase lanes really constrict the gameplay to planets and that deep space is virtually ignored and you can't do anything in the gravity wells of gas giants or in an asteroid belt. Now I'm not talking colonization, I'm talking just build a space station that has maybe a max of 10-30 population (in game) that can support just a few basic logistic/tactical structures each. First off, let me say THANKS for making a game that's actually worth spending money on. I think it's a first for 2008. I've only played three skirmishes so far so I'm pretty newb and still getting the hang of everything. I've got a few questions about the refinery and trade station structures though. I've noticed that the refinery earns different amounts in different systems, and the tooltip says it will pull resources from surrounding systems, etc. What is the ca
