"nurfing"? haha, you must talk to too many 12 year olds, tbh that's not exclusive to sins. Id say there's not so much sland but acronyms; LRM RA HC etc.
Why not just increase game speed?
Multiplayer? Anyway, personally I wish there was more to do in that time, ie more complexity to resources and more customisation of ships, I mean if you think of the options something like civ4 offered, it justifies the speed, whereas sometimes with SoaSE you end up bored: sad but true.
Frankly, I can't really see sins working out to ever be much more than a multiplayer/SP with AIs for people kind of game, there just isn't much more that could be done without, at least, enlarging gravity wells and adding in some significant space feature [well, I really mean terrain ;)], because it could never be more than Take X system so you can have Y and then kill Z. Compared with, say, HW2 where the single player campaign was beautiful, and tactically quite varied (although hardco
It's a great idea, but it sure becomes a lot of work in an RTS where you want a lot of different possible paths to victory and not just a single path that always takes you to victory.
Well; 1. Make LRMs 2. Make HCs 3. ???? 4. Profit. I can see where things could get, OP, but I would have thought simple cost balancing in the Beta would have solved that. To be honest, the whole phase lanes thing bugs me, it doesn't really give you the
Well, having played this game (not to excess), I realise it is a different scale to sins, but I have to say there are a few features I would liked to have seen in sins. > First one, being moving planets - this was merely a gimmick in Nexus, but could have been really interesting in Sins, breaking chokepoint and allowing for trade routes.shifting alliances etc. > The other one is truly customiseable ship, ie you get a chassis and a selection of weapons, I suppose a bit like ascendancy even
Thanks all, surprising but great :)
Hey, I've been following Sins publicity/previews for a while, but I can't even find pre-orders on mose UK sites [amazon, play.com], so I'm a little confused that reviwes and patches are coming out for a game I can't find. Are there different releases for the UK, and if so, when are they? I'm slightly reluctant to start a long download from a US-based service, not sure about speeds/router problems. Thanks in advance.
