The lan parties isn't a reason, just saying that my friends don't know about it (sorry that I didn't clarify that). let me just say I MUST be able to remove this update at certain times. I don't want to actually uninstall the game, but if it comes to that I suppose I'll have to.
I generally bottle up all of my structures with 2-3 hangers and a repair station. Then use the rest of the tactical slots for turrets. Hangers are safe and everything gets the repair station bonus. now just add about 10+ turrets (or whatever you can fit) around the structure. They may be weak individually, but enough will create a nice delay, maybe take out some pesky frigates, and allow you to get your own fleet back to wreak havok on the masses. Seriously, those turrets can be a problem.
The reason is that I'm unable to play online and I think its due to not having the update, but all of my friends play the original 1.00v at lan parties and don't venture online. So they don't know. But having to uninstall the game and reinstall would be quite troublesome.
For certain reasons I would like to be able to remove the 1.03v patch and replace it whenever I want. I'm new to using mods and patches so I would like to ask before I download it. Thanks
