I always had an idea that what if you cold customize your ships a little? atleast to the capital ships that you could build turrets on it for extra fire power. If your fleet was lacking flak you could add a flak turret or if needed more firepower could add a turret that did high damage. I haven't played the game in while so I forgot what some the weapons were called. But that's my idea also I would also like to see subsystems like in the Homeworld series and maybe even to capture buildi

I don't know about that, had an intense battle with TEC AI on hard. We were bothing racing to each other's homeplanet, eventually we were both 2 planets away. I started to set up a defense, everything, mines, turrets and starbase upgrades. I built the jumpgate thing, forgot what those were called for the vasiari so i can send my main fleet to defened. This was it, the battle that determined it all. If i loose, i have no fleet to defend or attack with. If he loose, he has no main fleet. A

I just got done with a 3v1 battle with unfair AI. it was a intense battle. But some notes i want to add. It seems the AI is weak on researching, I watch a recorded game and looked at how they were doing and they barely do any research. They would only research ship prototypes and defenese/starbases. Most other researches were put into 1-2 points. This actually hurt the AI later games because without then being as upgraded as me, their firepower and protection is weak and they end up
The AI surrenders when they know they are going to loose, so wouldn't really make a difference I think.
5 carriers is equal to 10 bombers, you can also get a bunch of the light frigates early game, they are the cheapest of all the races light frigates.
I had it, it was fun, campaign, was enjoyable. After you learn how to play well, AI was too easy even on hard. And no one ever played the mutliplayer. But I enjoyed it the SP portion.
