Small maps on multiplayer are fine. Large maps, after a certain amount of time, everybody experiences frequent freezes, i.e. every couple of seconds. They last the same amount of time every time, roughly four seconds. Small = 20 planets, 6 players Large = 3 system random, 6-8 players Things I've Tried Restarting Sins. Restarting all computers. Multiplayer game, hosted on my machine. 3 Humans 3 Hard AI Large - Random map I was the only Advent, and was out of combat for the majority of the lag (so not Malice).
