yes they do, but moons are often considered as more spherical such as that of Earth's, Luna. It would be interesting to have moon types based off of the moons in our solar system, like Ios (a volcanic moon), or Europa (an ice moon that has a presumed ocean beneath the ice). It would be interesting to hsve the cap ships see a boost and have these mega-cruisers in the game as well. Have the Kodiak, Destra, Skarovas cruisers be smaller versions of the mega-cruisers. If you notice, the other cruisers are pretty much support craft, much like the cruisers today. These heavy cruisers are the only cruisers really for combat (not counting the carriers). It would be interesting to see the mega-cruisers as more of an offensive force.

I agree, i've always found it a little ridiculous that such big items as the Cap Ships and Starbases can't defend themselves. Only way that I can see a starbase getting any flak defence is by surrounding it with Tec Hangars.
I think it would be an interesting strength to add to the Advent. Every race has strengths and weaknesses. I would rather have specific boosts than the different races becoming bland and simply being different avatars for ships.
hmm...nanomachines would be an interesting twist, kinda like the replicators from Stargate. or, what about the creatures from dead space?
